Changing Jugs

Hello All,

I am considering changing the Cylinders on my 582 to cylinders from a 583 snowmobile engine. This would allow the use of the RAVE valves. I am to understand the fuel economy at reduced power settings is better. Any one have experience or opinions on the subject?

Thanks Dave

Most of the guys with RAVE engines have the valves disabled. They don't open until too high in the rpm range then make the motor too peaky to tune and operate. Especially without the huge exhaust system needed.

Read the many postings about he lack of reliability on the 670 motors.

Save your "jugg" upgrade money for the wife... :)

Dave, I agree with Larry on this one.  I am not a fan of the doo rave valves, they are notorious for sticking and causing issues.

Bigger Jugs is always an asset - but the important thing is to keep the action going!

Oh, you were talking about 2-strokes - I need more strokes than that.
