Aircraft Performance Chart

Does anyone know if AVID ever published a aircraft performance chart to determine takeoff and landing distances with varying temperatures and pressure systems.

Thanks

I'm sure they didn't. It would be almost impossible on a kit built plane due to variances in weight and configuration of every airplane.

no sir, I have never seen one published for the reasons that Larry stated.

No, but once you have the factory specs or your own baseline performance benchmark, you can use a Koch Chart to calculate the approximate temperature and altitude adjustments for aircraft takeoff distance and rate of climb. See Publication FAA–P–8740–2 • AFS–8 (2008) HERE

I think that Joey may have a program for Density Altitude?

I believe he offered to share it on here.

A lot easier to keep a copy of the Koch chart in your bag than a laptop!

Ed,

I am currently writing an in depth paper on Density Altitude and how it affects aircraft performance for the class that I am taking. I will share it along with a brief tutorial on how to read the chart and calculate DA next week.
