Permatex vs Loctite

Is it okay to use permatex in place of loctite when reassembling a rotax 582?

are you talking about for the blue, red or green locktite called out in the repair manual? If so, yes, as ling as it crosses to the low, medium or high strength locker. Make sure you use the sleeve retainer locktite on the RV shaft if you pulled it down that far.

I cant find the loctite you are talking about for the sleeve in Wasilla. Will permatex work for that? If so what color.

I did break down my rotary valve shaft to replace all the seals and oring.

The permatex 6400 sleeve retainer will work for you.
