Maybe next year Jim, for now its gonna get some blue tape if needed,
The best way I found to get back into the project is clean the whole shop/garage including all the benches, It is amazing how much more you wanna work in a clean work area,

I was told by a few guys that after welding 6061 t-6 you should put it in the attic of a barn and let it cook for about 6 months, that's how you get back to the t-6 temper after welding, So I was just guessing 400 degrees for 5 minutes might do the same thing, No proof of this of course ha

I believe its 400 degrees, Shouldn't hurt aluminum a bit, probably make it stronger,

If you don't mind me asking What thickness is that rear spar carry thru? I know the kitfox 1-4 1050 has a 1 inch .049 wall.

Make sure its not something stupid like a dent in the exhaust header too, It would be best to pull the header pipe off and inspect the pistons as well, Make sure they match and are both new, Could just be the way the ports in the engine flow too, Jetting one different than the other is ok, Many many snowmobiles came from the factory that way, PTO side was always hotter because of that hot clutch right next to it, Use to tripple pipe lots of sleds as well,l each pipe would flow different, You adjust it with different size jets,

Why all the gussets around the spar carry thru? Have you heard of them braking or are you setting this plane for a gross weight of 2500lbs?

Don't think the Nytro has a spot to mount the adapter, Not saying you cant build one, also the 3 cylinder will probably have a big counter balance on the crank which may make it heaver, But I will say my Old man has a turbo ed nytro and he beats the crap out of it after 5 years and zero problems tells me there nice engines

Otherwise you can cut a small piece of aluminum slightly bigger than your light then sand a flat spot on your wing tip, and glue the aluminum onto the wing tip, then fill the edges in with hysol and shape it into the wingtip,
and nice work keep it up

I agree with the holes,  a good sharp hole saw in the drill press on the slowest speed possible with a little cutting oil cuts right thru them,

    identification Tag
Have a question about the stainless Identification tag, I have heard that to get your AW ticket you need to have the stainless tag all filled out and on the Aircraft,  but I thought that Gross weight was established during phase 1 flying? so how does this work?

I use lots of lemon pledge as well, but I have used the Rain-X that comes in the aerosol cans with great results, Helps in the rain as well, I would recommend taking some scrap lexon that you have and test it for a month first,
