    Seatbelts?
    Is there a correct way to attach the seat-belts to the air-frame. Wondering bout the metal part of the seat-belts do you just crank it down tight on the air-frame or do you leave it loose so it can move a bit? Maybe use a smaller bolt a bushing and a big washer? That way the bolt is tight and the belts remain loose? thanks

    Running the really small tungsten think there .040 with small filler, think I just need more practice moving faster. I really like Tig welding so clean and quite while welding. Running pure Argon. I will look into those Layzr as well.

    If you make a little lighter bracket you can loose that pound. No need for 1/4 Aluminum strap there. you could also drill a bunch of 1 inch holes in that area. Just a thought. If you do decide to make a different set up you should lower it about 2 inches for better cooling. I can say this because I seem to make everything two and three times ha. Looks good keep going.

    Tig welding steel?
    I usually only use my Tig for Aluminum but today I thought I would use it on my door latches that I am making for the Kitfox.  Take a look at the welds if you can see them. I am wondering why the back side of the steel is bubbling so so bad? Am I using to much heat? or not pulsing my foot enough? I see this everytime I tig welded steel. Its all 4130 and I am using ER80 filler any thoughts thanks.

    got a pretty good start on them there is a few finishing touches yet but for now I would say they are 5 footers which ain't bad for my first time sewing anything like this.
