    Max RPM is about the same (6,600 Tiny Tach and 6,800 reg tach).
    This is 200 RPM higher than in the winter. Using a GSC 3 blade, probably not the most efficient beater to have out there.   My static system is just open behind the dash (no vents to open in my cowling - yet), however, my IAS cross check is my completely external (Hall Bros.) airspeed indicator.  All follow the same trend (including GPS ground speed). Even gave her a bath today just in case is was the dust that had accumulated (no change, but she sure did look better).  Still flies great, hands off with predictable performance.
    I also have not yet installed the lift strut fairings or prop nose cone.  Assume that will help a bit, but envisioned the delta to be the same (winter to summer).

    5 MPH loss in 70F vs 30F (common)?
    I am seeing about 5-7 MPH slower cruise (for a given RPM) than during cold weather (70F vs 30F).  I have 2 IAS and 1 GPS instruments and the are all trending the same way.
    Is this common/typical/anticipated?  I anticipated a bit of change due to density altitude, but only envisioned a TAS vs IAS change (which hasn't really changed much).
    I took a 4 month break so went from one extreme to the other.

    Coolant Temp a bit high (75 day) - Mod 90 Gray Head
    After a 3+1/2 month hiatus, finally got back in the air today.  Had a great flight.  However, this was the first time I have flown above say 45F. It was 75F and I noticed my cruise coolant temp was a bit higher than anticipated (170F).  Coolant level is full and thermostat is operating fine (opening at 140F).
    This is a Kitfox III with belly mounted radiator.  I was hoping to see maybe 150-160F or is the 170F typical?  Concern over what might happen on a much hotter day.
    Running the recommended 50/50 mix.  Less than 50 hours on all components.
    Anyone run across this before?

    Anyone know of a source for a 12" (base diameter) Spinner?
    Anyone know of a source for a 12" spinner?  I am on the road, so I cant measure my Kitfox GSC Aluminum one (thinking it is more like 8", anyone know for sure)?
    This is for a friend who needs it for a project.  Big spinner.  Thought I would float it out here in case someone knows of a source.  Aluminum is preferred.

    Fuel Pressure Instrument
    I would like to add a fuel pressure indicator.  Any suggestions?  Prefer to not have fuel routed into the cockpit, (i.e. use a remote sensor) something along the lines of:

    Maybe a touch off topic, but I always had a bit of concern over the more concentrated load of the Grove attachment points vice the more spreadout original gear (or aftermarket like the Highwing).
    I know we have seen a few collapses with the Grove gear, but have the traditional (with wider gear mounts) been just as prone?

    You can still get them direct from Kitfox as well.  What did you end up going with?  Still need to get a set for mine, prefer clip on if able.  I received some uflyit samples bit they are slip on and require splitting or sectioning so am looking at other options.

    When doing these just be cognizant that you will change the yield point when something happens, which may or may not have an impact on the passengers.  Anyone have a crash response to this type of mod?  Unfortunately it looks like we have a number of failure mechanisms when the original style lets go.
