Getting back on topic, anyone ever hear of a Hell cannon? It doesn't look pretty...

Thanks guys. I guess I'll stick with the 89 non-eth as that is as high as I can get. Didn't know lead would be that bad, even at 50:50. My other two strokes are high compression and spin at least 2,000 more than the Rotax's max. Maybe that is why I haven't had any problem with lead fouling.

And Jeb is Obama light. We need another Bush about like we need another Clinton.

Epoxy is not polyester. Epoxy will also "stick" to polyester, but not visa versa. It, as a patch, will delaminate. For some reason no mechanical bond. Then you have SMC. Epoxy will work, but polyester will not. Sorry- tangent. SMC mostly used on jetskis and the like.
Wow!!! No kidding!!! I have heard of them going to ethanol as an oxygenizer (???) instead of MTBE because of the jet skis in the lakes. All was fine until the engine went on the limiter jumping waves and spit raw fuel out.

    582 Fuel requirements
What do you use? Factory says no less than MON 83 or Ron 90 (as per my manual). The average of the two (what we use) is 86.5. I have been putting 89 non-eth in mine.
I am fixing to set a tank for my old hotrods and race boats and mix 100LL and non-eth 87, 50:50. Both need the lead and the shelf life of the additional av gas doesn't hurt a thing as the tank is 580 gallons. I thought about running this but my experience has been too much octane can hurt performance.
The hot rodder coming out in me.... Does anyone have any experience to raising the compression on the 582? The only thing bad about that is starting the damn thing.... Mine's a string puller.
I have another tank I can put 87 or 89 in also.

The Republican party is and has been broken for many years now. If Trump leaves the GOP, it will be their fault. Perot didn't start off as a Republican, did he? They do have a choice. Truth is, Trump scares the pants off the establishment RINOs and the liberals. He is a non-politician. He makes waves and isn't neutered by political correctness. People like his drive, his strength, and his tenacity.
Most of the GOP aren't conservative anyway; they are RINOs. Boehner, and McConnell are perfect examples. And now we have another, Ryan.

Yea. Most fiberglass aviation commercial parts were vinylester before epoxy came along. My buddy has a boat with a polyester tank in it, and he found some coating to coat the inside of the tanks, epoxy.
Great thread. I have been wondering about this (what my tanks are made of) and only have had non-eth gas in it because the alcohol will attack the polyester resin.

Depending on the severity of the turbulence, I was taught to fly the plane and only correct it if it was really getting way out of shape. We were flying one windy day after a front. I had a death grip on the yoke and was fighting it. My instructor said WTF are you doing, my airplane. With two fingers he was flying it better than I was. I took that lead and never had that problem since. Not sure how much that applies to your case, but it may.
    Glad you made it safely!

When and where did he say that? If you are going to stick with that statement, please cite a link where Donald Trump said that. I will say your petty insults are cute.
This truck driver is sick of what is happening to his country. He is passionate. And I can't blame him one bit.

But that is the first thing the libtards in the media will do. Play the race card.
And I've watched that video in its entirety. Sickening what is happening over there. I feel sorry for the real Europeans. They their passive socialist governments let it happen. Just like Obama has planned.

I'm sure he had good intentions. I have spoken with him on the phone and he is a nice fellow. But I think it is time to pass the torch to someone else or find a partner that will run things. It sure it a shame. The newer AirDale looks pretty nice.

Well, I'm around 71". It fits me well and is very comfortable. I have plenty of head room, but the newer Airdale's floor space would be a plus. First time I got into it/looked at it, I had my work boots on. LOL!!! No room for them at all!!!

How about a drop seat? They made two different seats. I sure wish Airdale would get his $%^& together. I would like one of his new planes to build.
    My seat...

Oh, mount a strip of UHMW on each side of the skid, and you won't have to bother throwing snow on it.

4500 is way too short. You're turning more than that. You have something going on. If it is turning 4500 static and 6500 level flight? Huh? Is that the only tach you have?
Also I think the thing to do would have been to drop the floor instead in such a short coupled plane.
With that said, I an not beyond increasing my rudder surface area!!!

No, there is just so much oil in the crankcase and rotating assembly. Every two stroke I have ever torn down were dripping with oil. Even if run lean and smoked a piston. Just a nature of the beast when running inverted I guess.
That sure is a nice looking set up. Curious what is the red piece under the carbs?

I bought some of those that came with a flexible spout too. But before that came out, this was my solution:

LOL! That is an old smoker that my dad bought. When he died it had never been used. According to the directions when it was cold out, the cardboard box is used as insulation. Doesn't really smoke ribs and such that good, but it does jam up on almonds. Next batch will be with apple wood.

That is what I was thinking about how this works. I think it is way simpler than the extra cables and parts in the mixture system I have uses. I think you guys have converted me!!!
