  1. Avid MK IV HH kit with the 16" stretch. I bought this about a year ago. I have purchased a bush landing gear from Brett along with a tail wheel. The short story is I am still building my house and need the money to keep going. Be happy to send photos on request. The kit is located in Goldendale WA. Asking $9,500 or best offer.

  2. Hi Rob,

I did call Jabiru USA when researching and buying the engine mount. They sent me their drawing which I could check against the aircraft. What they sent did not match the drawing and I suspect actually was for a Kitfox IV. I am going to research doing my own mount, so a second would be no big deal. I will get back to you in couple weeks.

    Best regards,

    Rick

  3. I contacted Jabiru USA for an engine mount. They said they had one and sent it out. Did not match the plane or the drawing. Took them about 2 months to arrange for an RMA and refund. I may jig up and build one. Did you come up with a source.

  4. Well that thread degenerated quickly. I am currently looking for a 4 stroke engine that will deliver 100 hp. I am not opposed to trying something different, but I want to fly not tinker. Weight is a big deal. The viking engine looks good but it is heavy. What does a rotax 912uls really weigh installed? I mean radiator, coolant, oil, exhaust, everything.

  5. I recently bought an Avid and Brett is building me a bush gear, and providing a tail wheel assembly and spring. His communications are spotty but he always gets back to me in a couple days.

Anyone interested in a nose gear and standard landing gear?

  6. Hi Mark,

Are you still building your Bearhawk patrol? I just bought an Avid Mk IV HH with the 16" stretch in it. I hope to get  rolling on it seriously this fall. I live in Goldendale, WA.

  7. I just bought an Avid MKIV HH with an Airdale stretch. It came with a nose wheel and main landing gear. I am having Brett at Airdale build a bush landing gear. The question is has anyone bent a 3/4" axle? I had a J-3 cub and it had 1-1/4" axles. Should I stick with the 3/4" size? I don't want to buy new wheels or brakes. Has anyone actualy seen a bent 3/4" axle?

    Thanks,
