  1. This was sent out over the mailing list from my old EAA chapter:

Call Bill Jepsen (number below) if you are interested.  He will be glad to answer your questions. I have several pictures of some partially finished parts.

Let me know if you want to see them.

For Sale, a partially completed tube and fabric, Avid Magnum kit plane for sale in Rigby. Asking $20,000 for everything, including a run-out Lycoming O-360 core. No instruments or prop. Kit is located in one of the southeast hangers at the Rigby airport.

I am not posting the email or phone number here so they don't get inundated with spam. If interested pm me and I'll forward the contact info.  I personally have never seen this kit and know nothing about it.

Is this still available, I can't figure out how to pm you

  2. Doing a preliminary weight and balance to determine battery location on my Magnum project. I want to be sure the manual is correct when it says to set wing level at the fourth rib tail.  I was quite surprised to find the door sill out of level by an inch and a half in it's length. Put another way the tail is about 9 inches higher than I expected, and the aircraft appears quite nose low. Nothing wrong with that as long as it's.correct.  . I had always assumed the door sill and the  center fuselage longeron would be close to level but that's not the case at all. Thanks in advance.

  4. This is the guy that sold out to the new owner of avid. Apparently the new owner did not get it all. Given the number of kits that these two owners have sold. (zero for the new owner, possibly the same for the old (Jim Tomash), i think it would be really tough to start this up and make it work. It would certainly need to be a labor of love consuming your life, not a part time job or hobby.
