    Hello Mo and C5Engineer,

thanks for your ideas. I found on ulm-technologies an fuel tap with strainer... and this is the right to build an
    fitting for my avid.
The fuel tap is 1/8" female, 90 degree elbow with 6mm. The shutoff is on the bottom...and i can
remove them...an close it with a cap. Now i have a 1/8" fitting with strainer and 6mm...

When i get the things from aircraft spruce... and i come from our avid and talk to my wife that
the hole from the tank is to small... she said... it´s your old problem darling...

I´m to worried to drill the hole in the tank from 1/8" to 3/8". When the metal plate is to small... i have a big problem.
Now, when somebody need a 1/8" fitting for an tank... we now what to do is...

brrr ... cold in germany... next time to put some wood in the fire...

    I need your help...
My fuel fitting is broken... and i read about the finger strainers and so on... yesterday i ordered the finger strainer from spruce and the fitting... but it is tooooo big for my avid mk4 tank.
My tank fitting is 1/8" not 3/8"...  and inside of the 1/8"fitting elbow 90... was a finger strainer... yes inside the 1/8"npt brass elbow fitting.

Where can i buy this 1/8" fitting with finger strainer inside?

No things by spruce, no one at airwolf, no one at ulm technologie ... and no fly without fuel-fitting+strainer

    thanks

  6. Flugtaxi added a post in a topic From nose-gear to tailwheel - wide-gear

    Hello Ed,

it is an nose-gear from custom flightsystem:

The nose-gear is spring-loeded. I have two nose-gear forks without springs and one who is spring-loaded.

I´m from herzogenaurach near nürnberg. There was an airbase till 1992 "herzobase" (from 1945-1972 USASA).
And there are the factories adidas and puma.

We change the nose-gear to tailwheel - the optic is much better. And now we must try to land this plane

and now the new wide-gear .

My pc is a lowrider ... slow and hard to ride.

The propeller is an helix from www.helix-propeller.de

The prop is carbon. Quiet and very light.

In germany ultralightplanes must have lower noise < 60 db(A).

behind the avid it´s our "hangar".

Have some user information about moule-tailwheels?

  9. Flugtaxi added a post in a topic Mk IV wing-fold time

    Hi Tia,

i´m Martin from germany. We (my wife and me) have an MK4-heavy hauler with jabiru. We have an trailer 2,5m x 7,5m.
It is not so easy to drive on small streets but it is ok. We stay 5km from our Airport (Herzogenaurach...
we live near adidas and puma factory).
For the avid it is importand that you drive slowly (60-80 km/h).
Our Avid was trailerd with nose-gear and now we have it with wide-gear and an moule-tailwheel.
The folding time is 15min. The only problem for one person is to put the tailwheel on the trailer
when you will drive home. But everytime there is a person who can help you .

Best regards (and sorry for my bad english
