  1. Thanks Joey!  You and I now have the same tail now and I will use the other thread to mount mine the same.

I have the Stol HH wing without the solid leading edge too and I have heard mixed reviews as well.  Ill get a set of 50 for the tail now.

  2. The biggest thing for me was the fact that it wanted alittle power to land it.  Mine is a MK IV with a 912.  Also double check the wheel alignment.  I also suggest that you remove cam on the Maule tail wheel so that will not break free until you get some time in the plane.

I have 200 hours in my avid, never had the cam on my tailwheel.  I dont miss it.

  3. I rebuilt my pedals twice. With double puck matco brakes and mc4 masters, 3.87 to one was too much brake.  My second iteration was about 2.87 to 1 and it is perfect. I had to move the master cylinder attach point on the pedal cross tube and connect the pedal to the top of the master cylinder shaft with a through hole and a AN3 bolt rather than the clevis supplied by matco.  I have enough brakes to easily hold a full power run.

  4. Does anyone have the 582 cylinder and exhaust alignment tools to align the cylinders upon installation? I normally just use the exhaust and the head to align it but I was wondering if anyone had the alignment bars.

  6. If you cant find one, talk to Rod at Performance Products.  He makes the tanks for Kitfox now.  Vinyl ester resin, ethanol proof.  He made a left tank for my avid which fit and functions perfectly.  Highly recommended! email him at:  sales@performanceproducts1.com

  7. I use the same valves as Leni, except mine are 1/4" tube for the Tygon on the top and 1/8" NPT on the bottom which is threaded into the top of my header tank.

  8. I'll be there the whole week as usual, only this time I'd like to meet up with the rest of the Avid Fox folks.  Where is your camp?  I usually drive in and stay at Scholler with some friends but I assume you are near UL field..
