Agree with both above - "Beautiful Bird" - Streamlined design - and "What is it"?   Anything more you can tell about it?  EDMO

I think you will find the blanket method a lot easier to do than sewing envelopes - You never get an envelope quite right, IMO.   OH, you are talking about seat covers?  My bad!  Have fun learning.   ;<)   My wife and flying buddy's wife are both expert sewers - My wife has been using the same machine for about 60 years now - She don't want a new one either!   A zig-zag attachment would probably be nice for you to have now.  I cant sew - Just pay the maintenance on her machine!  EDMO

Nice bird Jenki - Not all of them have to look, or act like, Avid/Kitfoxes.   EDMO

Most had no choice - It was either do or die, and a lot of them died trying to protect others.  Vets are tough "SOBs"!    Fuck the rich spoiled NFL players who wont even stand for them and our National Anthem - No football on my TV, and I wont spend a nickel on their jackets and caps!   I have a lot more respect for the slaves and others who fought to free America and to keep it free than I have for those ungrateful bastards!
(My wife says that I am a gentle sweet person until someone kicks a Vet, then "All Hell is coming out"!).
Guess I wasn't through with my rant - I wanted to say, "Fans" of those money-players think the players are doing this for them, but all they are playing the game for is MONEY!   EDMO

A designer / engineer named Pazmany published plans in the U.S. for a small 2-seat "Storch" in books that might be still available to buy.  They are an excellent performer, but it was not available as a kit.   I have his Landing gear design book and it has lots of useful information in it.  I would sell my copy for what it cost me.  EDMO

Chris,  Here is about best I can do with 2 more photos - I believe it is structurally sound - legs are slightly bent and there is some rust in tip of attach tube which both can be easily fixed.  Crosstubes are sealed with Nylon plugs.  This is just the way I got it.   Extreme cold snap coming tonight for about another week - My lungs hurt too bad out in cold so have to wait until it warms up again to box and get shipping on it.  EDMO

Rusty,  You should know by now that we commonly jump off subject to get some flying history or airplane facts printed - Sometimes when you see others' mistakes it keeps you from repeating them.   I really enjoyed the Ercoupe with JATO video that someone threw into another thread.   I'm sure the SnoGo engine thread will continue soon.  EDMO

I was in the Army with a WW2 P38 pilot - He said that there was so little heat in the cockpit that he would wrap a sheepskin flying jacket around his feet and they still froze.  EDMO

Somebody screwed up on figuring CG!  Should have had heavier nose, or other changes.  Bet Dean Wilson could have made a flyer out of it.  ;<)  EDMO

Darn it Leni - With so much going on I think I failed to mail you a Christmas card with a check or money in it - Keep me on the Contributers' List and I will catch up someday this spring.   Then, maybe I sent one? - my mind is missing a few bolts right now!  ;<)  EDMO

Easier to repair than to do all the research and testing to build one.  You couldn't build one for to sell for $250 - I doubt if you can even build one for that if you include the Grove nosewheel, tire and tube.
These sold for $1000 originally.  EDMO

Chris,  If I was putting it on something I would either weld it to the pivot tube or make sure no water gets in it.  I think the pivot tube was rusted enough to give way on hard landing or something - the crossbolt is still holding in the nosegear tube.  A short piece of inserted tube might be needed.  Also some minor straightening of the forks and MAYBE weld a reinforcement piece on the sides of them to make them stronger?  Otherwise, it is a useable part, and probably the last chance to ever buy one.  Ed

Maybe we should start thinking about mid-engines, Like Ferrari, Catalina?  EDMO

I don't know if they still will shorten blades for you, or exchange blades with you, or what the cost, but believe they have worked with buyers before to give them satisfaction.  EDMO

I keep repeating this, but Daryl told me that I would probably get same TO and faster cruise with more static pitch on 68" 3-blade tapered than with 72" for my Subaru engine.  EDMO

I've got some late model Kitfox 3/4 axles - haven't measured them or looked to see if they are drilled and tapped - they are threaded for the nut.  EdMO

Yes,  I have a spare set of 4 Cessna pedals and the sets of Kitfox pedals I showed in photo - maybe some more?
$25 each for Cessna plus $20 for shipping either 2 or 4.  $15 each for Kitfox plus $15 shipping for 2, $20 for 4.   EDMO

Joey,  I have always had the thought of the wide Red reflector vinyl tapes on fuselage, wings, and tailfeathers - Should light up like a beacon at night if anyone's light hits them - hoping you never need them, but how does the saying go "Better to have and not need, than to need and not have"?  I think some of them have a pattern on them now?  EDMO

Jim,  If you go back up to (I think) Doug's photos of a mount painted yellow - I got some yellow parts that look like they could be small parts of a 912 mount - Cant verify that and don't have photos yet.  Thanks for the reply Doug.  Guess I could ship them to Leni or someone making mounts?  EDMO

Are those YELLOW parts a KITFOX mount?  I have a couple of parts that look like they may be part of one.  EDMO
