You and I are going to disagree again, I guess.
Collins, like Graham, have made pretty speeches in support of Kavanaugh that I agree with and applaud.  However both of them, in the larger picture, are political weathervanes.  What ever is best for them, at that moment, is what they do.   Complete RINOs and swamp creatures that, IMO, need to go.  Murkowski and Flake are of the same cowardly stripe.  Luckily Flake is tail lights.

Doug, we are parsing terminology while saying the same thing.  I encourage everyone to watch that video.
Classical Liberals are not the problem.  Neither are true Democrats.  It is the Left wing infiltration of extremism into those groups that is putting any political discourse into chaos (by design).

About 100 miles from me.  Will have to drop in to say Hi.  How long is the strip going to be?

Both my personal (iPhone - Verizion) and work phones (antique flip-phone texting blocked) went off.
The work phone dropped the call I was on in favor of the alert.

The test was really annoying.  The system definitely works.

HKS quit the turbo motor a while back.  I believe when they stopped importing them to North America a couple years ago.  When importing resumed, there was no turbo option.  I don't know if that engine is still produced in Japan.
In the proper application, the HKS motors have a wonderful reputation, only hampered by their lack of power.

To the wider point, I agree that wringing out too much from an engine will hasten it's demise.  I am very confident in my 105-ish horsepower, low compression, Zipper that I installed into my 1996 vintage 912UL.  I have added a slipper clutch and 2.43 gear ratio which has improved it's performance further.

I now have over 400 hours of trouble free operations on my Zipper engine.
The only catastrophic failure that I know first hand is Trent Palmer.  This is well documented on YouTube.

Also listed on that website is a brand new Rotax 912 iS Sport for $13,500.  Link  This website is bullcrap.
Send them your money and see what you get.  I've seen far more modded and stock Lyco-saurus engines fail than Rotax engines.  To each their own.

A far better option for you would be to put an RX1 Yamaha engine on the plane.  Much more doable installation in that airframe with higher horsepower.

There are true democrat and real Liberals out there, they are not the issue.  It's the leftists that are the true problem.  Democrats and liberals still love America and respect debate and discussion.
Leftists are of the mob mentality and want to tear down the Constitution and our entire country.

This is modern McCarthyism and as Thomas stated a high-tech lynching.
The political left (note, not liberals and not Democrats) are using these lynch mob tactics perfectly.  Look at the anarchistic mobs combing the streets with the deep state sourced intelligence of their targets.  Cruze, Sanders, and now the spinless RINO, Flake, accosted in an elevator by Soros Foundation paid operatives, to name a few.
    It's disgusting.

I would expect for that airframe to have any chance of getting close to balance, some type of fuselage extension will be mandatory.  Something akin to the 18" stretch which is done to the Avids.  Increasing the size of the elevator and rudder alone won't cut it.  For the weight and torque of the Lycoming engine, more gusseting and reinforcement of the forward fuselage should be considered, also.  All this will add considerable empty weight to an airframe with a 950 or 1050 gross weight.
I'd love to see a link to a $14k Lycoming O233.  This is a brand new engine for Lycoming, with only a handful of them being installed to date.  A (much heavier) O235 may be had for $14k or the orphaned O290, but I have never seen a used O233 for sale, much less one for $14k.

Without major airframe modifications, you will not put a Lycoming, any model Lycoming in a model 3 Kitfox.
The 233 is a $30k+ motor.  You could buy 2 or 3 Rotax 912 engines for the cost of the 233.

Get a PA20/22.  They can be had far cheaper than a Continental or Lyco-saurus powered Avid/Kitfox.

You will have a very difficult time getting an O-235 (?) to work in a model 3.  It is just too heavy.  There will be a need to put so much ballast in the tail that you will have made a poor performing single seat airplane.
Idaho is right, if you must have a Lyco-saurus, go for a Magnum.  They are designed around that engine.

On my MacBook Air, I can click on akflyer and it goes to your profile.  Same with 1avidflyer and nlappos.  If I click on Chris Bolkan or dholly, I get the "fatal error".

The landing path shown in this video turns a very short right base to final, over a tree line, through a narrow cut and finally landing downhill.  It's a challenge.
The strip is 1200' length in total, including a 200' over run on each end.

    Kitfox IV
It's not much different than doing a ski pass on unfamiliar snow.  Carry a bit of speed (60 mph) some flap to keep the nose down and let it sink to a light touch down.  Push the stick forward a bit to keep it on the water and have fun...
