    Well I'm back!!!

    Okay, just noticed that the attachment point on the front spare lower hole is damage or more to the point 

    appears to have been ripped out. I presume this happen when the wing came lose in transport - that the

    bottom part of the carry-thru post hit the lower mounting hole, tearing it open like a can.

    I have two pictures below that help with the visualization of the issue. Two pictures show the bottom of the the spar

    and one of the top  of the spar.

     

    My sense is that I have three options:

     

    Option 1: replace the front spar

    option 2: Use the other end of the spar - remove the front spar and reverse it.

    option3: In the present configuration, repair it by putting put a 4" aluminum sleeve in with a wall

                  thickness of 1/8" or 1/4"

    1. what  size (OD) & wall thickness should the new carry though tube be for 4130 alloy round steel tube

    2. what  size (OD) & wall thickness should the new design diagonal cross tube  be for 4130 alloy round steel tube

    ?would you know the size of the old stuff?

    Could I bring my fuselage up your way after Christmas and before New year to fix it (welding that needs to be done)?

    And we work something out.
