Well I'm back!!!

Okay, just noticed that the attachment point on the front spare lower hole is damage or more to the point

appears to have been ripped out. I presume this happen when the wing came lose in transport - that the

bottom part of the carry-thru post hit the lower mounting hole, tearing it open like a can.

I have two pictures below that help with the visualization of the issue. Two pictures show the bottom of the the spar

and one of the top  of the spar.

My sense is that I have three options:

Option 1: replace the front spar

option 2: Use the other end of the spar - remove the front spar and reverse it.

option3: In the present configuration, repair it by putting put a 4" aluminum sleeve in with a wall

              thickness of 1/8" or 1/4"

Steel insert? Just like they are supposed to be made originally. I don't se them there. It never would have ripped out with them I don't think. I don't think the spar itself takes that load. It's just aluminum.  It's the steel inserts that take the load and it is distributed to the spar through a number of rivets.
