  1. Thanks for the chart, what rpms do you cruise at and what was your max rpm with the c drive. We have the c drive on  the engine but haven't started the engine mount yet

  2. I was just looking at the kitfox site in there catalogue for the plastic leading edge, the only thing I found was the" laker leading edge ".It says it will not apply to the model 1 through 3 hi undercamber wing. Im not sure if that is the leading edge that some of you have used from kitfox ??? Kind of pricy too at $995 for the kit. Has anyone used anything else beside the aluminum leading edge

  3. If you get a chance could you post a picture of preffered header ,were along ways away from building the header  so no rush , thanks again for the updates

  4. Perfect thanks, thats pretty much were the soob ended up so with any luck I maybe able to use the same cowl

  6. Hey Teal do you happen to know what the measurement is from the firewall to prop flange is on the Rx1, we got the engine out and are finally getting a start on it

  7. I got the degrees by using a straight edge on the bottom of the wing were it instructed  then zeroed my digital level to zero, then could figure out the angle of the flaperons from there, they were pretty close to the same degree that Randy had on his Avid +. I never did try adding weight to the tail, was meaning to try that just to see what it did ,but its now in the shop with some changes in the works,

  8. Ya adjusted the flaperon angle as well so it was around -1 degree in off position,if I remember right (has anyone gone with more negative deflection), could only use about half flap settings on landing otherwise became very nose heavy and ran out of up elevator.

  9. We have done a few a few tweaks on it,shimming the angle of the motor, lowering the front of the horizontal stab.and throwing weight behind the seat, they all helped a little but haven't been able to fly hands off, it stills needs back pressure on the stick. It will be interesting to see what a lighter engine and longer wings will have do :BC:

  10. Yes its a bush caddy kit,R80 I think, they used to be made in Canada but like everythng else I think they are in China now, correct me if I'm wrong Willy.Really solid plane with alot of rivets :)

  11. Just wondering if anyone has any information on installing the hoernier wing tips,I bought a set and trying to install them on the heavy hauler wings.I am thinking they need some sort of bracing at the end of the spars for support kinda like the original avid wing tip had.?

  12. Not sure if I'm smart enough to figure out how copy a link ,but my friend Willy with time on his hands after finishing his bush caddy  and miserable  day for flying was nice enough to make a video clip of my avid, thanks :BC:
