Think in terms of pivot points and you will probably remember some HS physics as the light comes on.
I can tell you that my new wide and taller gear is capable of doing an emergency ground loop at 35 mph full right brake to keep from going into the creek after what would have been a 15' drop.  Both wheels stayed on the ground and the plane stopped facing the opposite direction with zero damage.  The plane pivoted around the right tire which I had locked the brakes on.  The gear uses the Roberts Rage system.  I can tell you I am sold on my wide gear setup.

Flaperon repair jig, jury strut fairing
I built a simple jig to bend the 1/4" radius for the aluminum for a Flaperon repair on a friends Kitfox 4. I made it for dual purpose so I can use it to bend aluminum for the jury strut fairing and the HS strut fairing.  I am using the piece of 1/4" angle for the knife edge but 2 X 1/4" strap would work as well.  C-clamps are used on the ends of the angle to make the bend.  It's a poor boy knife edge brake. The second photo shows a piece of aluminum bent for the jury strut fairing.  The whole thing was made from scraps around the hangar in about an hour.  I will post some pictures of the finished products if anyone is interested.
Also does anyone have a drawing of the KF Flaperon ribs that they will post, if not I will draw one up and post that also.

Kent I would steer away from that engine they had the wrong cam and the wrong lifters. I have an early 3300 with solid lifters and like it.  The newer series are good just not the early hyd lifters engines.  The solid lifters are good also   Keep looking you will find one of the good ones.

    US west coast hazard
Not sure if you are aware of the NOAA areas that have appeared on the charts in the recent past. Violations are generating huge fines,  up to $100,000, and there is one that I heard of $57,000 to a 182 driver that was not aware of the new sites. These are listed as Natioal Marine Sanctuary's and extend up to 2000 AGL.  I suspect we  will see these pop up on the East coast also sometime without notice.

The proctol was standard for a Class III until several years ago they dropped it, well made it optional so it surprises me that it came back in the basic med.

I believe this one sold in your area a few years back.  Price may have been cheaper by a fair amount.  Anyone else recall this one?

Just found this on shortwingpiper.org I am sure that you can find many, many more of these stories because it is a real problem.
This is just a comment for information to those doing fabric work. I thought I would be starting up 03C this week but instead it is coming back apart. I just got it assembled and now a fuel leak has destroyed the belly. Yes I should have found the leak at the fuel valve but that isn't the big problem. About a pint to one quart,(at the most), of gas leaked, soaking the insulation in the left side and belly some running down the gear leg. The Stewart ekopoly peeled loose and the glue joints all came apart as well,(stewart ekobond), the glue/paint had been on about six months. I know my fault with the leak, but, I have never had damage like this over an eight hour period, with dope or enamel before. I thought I would try something new with the waterborne urethane and sure wish I had stayed with Randolph products that I understand. My point is if you want to try this stuff I recommend starting with some test pieces to play with and see how it holds up for you before doing your whole project. I am not saying that I did not do something wrong in the application. I don't think so but even if I had the glue for instance is applied straight from the bottle and it melted in the gasoline. I have never seen Super Seam melt from an overnight gas leak. Same with the paint peeling off I've seen lots of fuel stains on dope and enamel finishes but not lifting and peeling from a fuel leak. Thanks for putting up with my venting,I work alone you guys are my help, it's been 18 months and I just went back two. This thing is a friggin' albatross, the bird kind not the Grumman!
Stewarts are aware of this problem and do not like to talk about it for some reason.

Allen it was not ethanol, just Pure Gas 91. I would  use the scientific method and try it for yourself before betting your fabric job on it.  It is on the backside fabric where it is unprotected by paint.  I developed a small leak around the header tank and the dollar patch wrinkled and pulled off without effort.  I was pretty disappointed because I did like using it on a fabric repair job.  Seems like Ed said something about the same problem with Stewart's several years ago but it may have been something I read elsewhere.  Anyway check it out, I threw the major portion of a quart, I had left away.

JFYI Stewart's glue turns to goo if fuel touches it, it sure was nice to use but I will not use it again for that reason.

Here is what I used on both of my planes.
    http://www.bandc.aero/groundblock2424-tabfirewallkit.aspx
it mounts to the firewall and the ground wire from the battery and then the engine engine ground come off of the other end of the bolt.

I'd vote for the Matco axles, they are light and tough.  Well worth the money.  That what I have been using after bending the heavy walled (and heavy) factory axles.

Hey Jim that second picture looks more like nord-locks than Belleville washers. Probably just the picture, here is a different one.

Anyone with a simple press can re-arch the spring.  I would only do that once and then replace when it loses its arch again. The spring will break if re-arched more than a couple of times.  I did it myself a couple of times before it broke causing a fair amount of damage to the rudder.  I suspect that the original MK IV spring is nothing more than cold rolled steel.  I am now using the long leaf, one leaf, of a Super Cub spring which is holding up great.

Ok, did you notice that is says all Rotax 912 engines.  My question is are you talking about Mobil 1 or are you talking about Mobil 1 4T oil the two are very different oils.  Really makes no difference to me what oil you choose but I would like to think that you are making an informed choice.

The serial no listed for that plane  is 578 which predates the MK IV by quite a bit.

You may want to do a little more research.  The way I read it Aero Shell Sport Plus 4 is the only oil currently recommended by Rotax. Mobil 1 covers a lot of oils.  The one that was previously deemed as acceptable was Mobil 1 4T which is motorcycle oil. It has the additives necessary for the Rotax gearbox, But is not suitable if you are running 100LL.

Actually those hoses are the hot water coming from the heads.  The 1" hose is the outlet and that should be routed to the rad.  The 1" hose coming from the other end of the radiator then goes to the water pump which Is pumped out to the bottom of the heads thru the heads and back to the expansion tank.  So now hopefully my last post will make more sense the tee's are then 1" x 5/8".  So if you want to use copper a 1x1x1/2" sweat tee will work for a cheap solution but does not allow much clamping room.  The wye's from UPI are more expensive but were worth it to me.
UPI's part # for the Y  is Z17550 it is a little hard to find without that.

Tee to the core after the expansion tank before the radiator and tee back in after the radiator before the 1" returns to the pump.  I used y's facing to optimism flow directions but I know several others using tees that work just fine.
The core is connected parallel to the radiator if that make more sense.
