    The large rear leg bone is from a mammoth, from the hip to the knee, the skulls with horns r from steep bison, i belive the died about 10,000 years ago if i remember right.  We find all kinds of bones and tusks quite often here on our patented mining ground.
    far as the gold the first two pic r whats called chrystaline gold it weighs 2.3 OZ pretty rare form to find ive heard 
    the quarts rock with the gold in it weighs 7oz and the UAF says they belive the center is solid gold inside the rock.  There has been lots of mining in this valley we own since 1903 both placer and hardrock. When we startdiggin a hole it always ends up ruffly 80ft deep and when we get there we find old mineshafts 80' or more down and tunnels and rooms, them guys where damm tough or mayb little crazy to.

    With some heat from the heatgun and holdin fabric away from airframe the Oratex almost becomes rubbery and strechs so it easy to get the wrinkle pulled out and shrunk some as u attach it to the airframe to anchor it down.  But yes u can really shrink the stuff in some places when needed, Awesome stuff i tell u.

    Well that i cant answer as i have no idea what ratio the box is.  Guess best way to find that out is to count the teeth on the gears?

    Yea they b nice to have but mayb better off with savin your money, and add some more and buyin some full lotas floats?  Yep they same age as my dad this year, the big 80

    I have a freind sellin a set of EDO 1070, they have some damage on one from transporting them but not to bad.  He wants $2500 they here in fairbanks alaska.

    Well finally was able to get back to the fabric work on the PA12, gettin right side fit, glued, and anchored to airframe, looks damm good i say, so hope today ill finish that up and move on to sewin the tailfeathers, and do finishin tapes.  Well unless the new turbo for the D9 Caterpillar shows up then ill have to do some real work. 
    P.S. I love this Oratex!!!!

    Well Jim i think i like that prop, would that fit my 582 and Cbox on the BlueFox? Any idea what the price is for that?

    I think if u add up all supplies for both fabric systems and an hr labor rate, even for urself, no chemicals and the time savins i think it same or better in the long run, IMO.  Ill bet u can cover ur gear legs in less than an hour with the Oratex, And no braincells  burned from the solvents.

    U can call paul at better aircraft fabric in anch and he will send u some 24"x36" sample pieces with glue.  I got some olive drab green to do repairs on my BlackFox then painted it black, it been about a yr but i belive they where about $10 each.

    Oh i forgot,  Checkout what a buddy of my son drew for me, he is one heck of an artist and he is only 17, he draws alot of cartoonish cars, and motorcycles for people here and has done some for me, so i gave him a challenge to do his first airplane, if anyone interested i can ask him about one for u.  I belive he charges $40.00ea but ill have to check.

    Well been doing a little work on the BlueFox, got the wiring done except the TinyTach( mounting it in the bare spot on dash) Im gettin the exhaust i got from Jim mounted now, then ill weld the outlet backon to fit cowl, once thats done just put the parts into the carbs, cables and fluids and ill start it up for the first time. YAHOO!!!

    Tsoftware,,, take a look at the for sale area on this form. Dholly has one he is tryin to sell, i thought i had a friend interested but he spent all his $ on the Zenith 701 kit and dont have the funds to pick one up yet.  The one Dholly has sounds like a good motor for what i know about the 912.  And if u ask me the Oratex is sure awesome stuff, mayb more to buy to start but in the end the time savings and easy install and no stink if worth it. Im doing my first every fabric work on a PA12 and found it to b great stuff.

    Well i really cant say, this is the first time i have ever done any fabric work (except a few small patches on my BlackFox) i was VERY nerves to do the work on Dads plane but since Joe from Better AirCraft Fabric came up from Anchorage and showed me the ropes and do's and dont's for the install,,,,, i think this fabric is going to take the aircraft fabric world by STORM!!! So easy, user freindly, no stink, and ill say just down right fun as hell to do the work!!!  Hahahahaaaaa so now ive got two more planes to do with the Oratex, my build of the BlueFox when its done, and my BlackFox, now they have Black Oratex out so next winter the BlackFox gets it.  Here is the blue and the black i want.

    Well i passed the info on to him and he is interested but he said b4 he can make an offer he will have to sell one of his trikes first. Soooo guess i jumped to fast to help my buddy, thought when he told me to keep my eyes open for one he was ready with funds, But as soon as he does ill try again.  I dont even know what they r going for but id guess $10g

    Update:  Sorry its not a Challenger II, (which he also has)  He is lookin for a 912 for a Zenith 701.

    Well i should have had coffee for them, but im not a big coffee drinker so honestly i didnt think of that to much.  Hahahahaa 
    on another note i have some great info,
    Standard fabric i pulled off the plane
    fuselodge- 7.6lbs
    tail feathers 8.2lbs
     
    weight of Oratex roll b4 fabric work 25 lbs
    weight of Oratex roll so far after all fabric pulled off EXCEPT ONE SIDE OF FUSELODGE 18.7lbs
    I bought more fabric than i needed just to have it if ever needed. Could probably cover a KitFox fuselodge, to bad its white not corsair blue for the BlueFox. Hahahaaaaaaa

    Got a little more done on gettin the tail feathers covered,  i figure once they all covered ill start the sewing on them, then after that ill b back to finish up the fuseloge.  Still havent shrunk the fabric yet, as it looks so far it will b super nice when im done.

    Course i have to remember that the bluefox has different cowl than blackfox but i belive still same would work and mayb a different one also cause of cowl.

    U are correct. That is a mount for a model 1 at least.  It is made for the round bump cowlin. I have one of them hangin on the wall and one on the blackfox

    Well had an awesome turnout for the Oratex show and tell, got alot farther than expected with the coverin since its so user friendly, Joe from Better AirCraft Fabric was here and did a great job with tons of info on the product. Now to just get with it and finish it up.  Here some pic,

    Well ill b. That is the same one ive been lookin at in the CPS catalog, well the one with the removable 90* elbow. But either may work. Send me a pic next time u get a chance and ill check it out farther.

    Yea pic would b great and im not sure but think Avid different from KitFox since the enigne is mounted upsidedown in the Avid. But ill have to check, mayb someone here knows better than i do.  Thanks
