By the way was the original purpose for the thru tubes on these planes only for pontoons supports?
-
That should be plenty strong then. An easy way to hold it down and near the bottom. Ill try it! Thanks!

What kind of cargo pod is that?
-
How much is it?
-
Why are you stopping your project? Have you come to problems with it?

Ed, I know the tubes your talking about, I think they are the same as the earlier foxes, mine are only about 1/4" on the inside diam. So I didnt think that would be a very strong contact to plane point, Im planing on a stationary jack under the main leaf spring body, then pull down from some where, Ive got some extra length on my spring clamp bolts, I could make a eye tab from there.

Yes your right Ed, with the trailer ball on the bumper of the truck the tounge sits to high, I plan on lowering that, and with the plane on it, I know how much now. Im making the root supports also. Ive got an idea of useing a sissors jack under the ramp to support the leaf spring, like I said, still working on the trailer, thanks for your suggestions!!

What is your basic price, without trades?

Maybe some one can explain the difference between the Warp drive and Wirlwind carbon fiber adjustable props? The mission for the plane is short take off and landings in mountain conditions, high spead flights are not that important or extreamly long range flights. Ive got a Rotax 912 ul now, the people installing the engine upgrade bigbore or zipper kits in Utah are putting wirlwind carbon fiber 3 blade props on, they look very different from the warp drive g.a.p. that I have. Is there s difference in performance? And at what?

I don't know either, but it would be nice if you could pick up a set of 21" Dessers on a good deal, that's what I'm looking for to! My other McCreary has a shallow cut on the inside wall half way around it,.

I've got one good McCreary 800-6 and 2 tubes!

Is the old bike for sale? Looks like an old Dnepr, Ural or Chaing?
-
Maule tailwheel tw101, 1 1/4" spring pocket,, good rubber 6" solid, everything seams in goog shape, no cracks or wear areas! I've replaced it with a Matko 8", and haven't tried the Maul, good for a certified plane. 150.00 OBO! Thanks

Can't you use a restrictor or presurse regulator after the pumps? Does the return line relieve excess pressure at the carbs.?
-
I've read what you all said about different pump set ups! My question is, Will a in line fuel pump work, or pump past the mechanical pump on a 912 Rotax if the mechanical pump fails? Thanks, also, will fuel flow past mechanical pump on gravity if pump fails?

Hey! I'm working on painting my Kitfox, replacing lexan, there's lots of old silicone used to glue the old plastic in, Ill need to reuse some of the old aluminum parts. Any one have a good way to remove silicone from metal, to continue with a printable surface? Products used? What works? Is there something that dissolves silicone? Thanks!

If anyone is interested in 912 parts, check Rotax Ricks web site, he bought out a large supply of new parts at a discount and says he dosent work with 912 or 914s He is willing to sell these parts at a large mark down from his listed prices, just thought some of you may benifit from a bargain on new parts.
