  1. Now if it helped with cooling that would be great. Luckily in Florida we barely have winter it's just the summer rain and humidity that sucks. I might be adding one of the little turbo fans I have for my thermo electric ac that I might try for more cooling

  2. If I wasn't so gung ho on doing the 130hp yamaha I'd be all over a 670 . But having to not mix has anymore and a upright motor should make it worthwhile. I'm still going to follow the 670 just in case.

  3. I got serious p factor on take off and a little on cruise now that my prop is pitched in the sweet spot for take off and cruise. I need a little tab for the rudder but my wings are definitely level and luckily that's my only control issue. I found that after I faired all my jury struts that my controls are really sensitive. They were that way before but now at slow speeds I can really tell. Hopefully Vance only has a wash out problem and doesn't have to mess with anything to much.

  4. I completely forgot about black diamond that's hard to find anymore around me. There is a shop that does nothing but sandblasting and that's what he uses. I send him the crap I don't want to deal with amd always get a good deal. Makes my life easier and it also ends up cheaper when I powder coat something big. It takes him 20 minutes to knock a chrome rim down to bare metal vs a hour and tons of headaches for me. Well worth it to pay for it.

  5. Gotta use good powder just like in the 80's .... I have a account with tiger and use there industrial coating on the airplane stuff and it's damn near bullet proof plis I take pride in my work which a lot of people don't anymore they just want that money.

  6. Do you mean like this one Leslie?  JImChuk

PS  Steve, I'll look for cables.  I know I have some.

    New B model Avid 007 (Large).jpg

I have the throttle 3 into 1 I just need the friction push pull type like in standard cessnas .

The standard push pull like the avids run and I'm still on the lookout for rudder pedals if anyone wants to barter some or has them cheap . I just got a whopper of a dental bill for getting a tooth fixed a second time that was chipped 10 years ago. It set me back on my Yamaha 130 conversion and everything. On top of that had to buy a new mower my old trustworthy snapper finally bit the dust. I'll powder coat , weld or trade something for stuff

  7. I definitely gotta get a new antenna and cable. The wonkey one in my plane doesn't work for shit. My little antenna on my radio is clearer then this thing. Plus it has a weird connection for it .

    Radio?

    Ammeter?

Sorry, the radio is working a lot better than before. The new RG400 coax took out a lot of noise out.  There is room for improvement but I've been focused on flying and not so much on the radio. I was in the pattern yesterday talking to an inbound jet 19 miles out. Still getting a pretty good whine at higher RPM settings. I will install new plug wires and shielded caps as soon as I get a few other items take taken care of.

I have not done anything with the Amp gauge yet. It's another thing on the list along with installing my Facet Pump and hooking up my fuel pressure gauge. :)

  8. I think he has a YouTube video but I'm in the same boat wondering about performance.

    Any performance change?

  9. Definitely measure them of you order from spruce. They will cut them free and shipping will be way less. I think they were going to charge 180 for shipping uncut . With them cut it was like 20

  10. Did a little modifications to my fuel light set up. I still have a electric fuel gauge I'm going to install but until then this is what I got. I still can add more leds but this and the strip cut on top of my wing should be enough
