    SuberAvids control relocation and baggage mod might do the trick. Moving the seat back and adding individual seats may work.

    What about a center stick mod. I had a Rans S10 that i flew from the middle. Or raising the roof?

    My plane come with both the sling seat and the fiberglass pan type. The fiberglass seat pan was in it. Maybe i will lace up the sling seat. Do you have pic of your skylight?  My head already hits with out the headset.Thanks

    Tall Fat Mods For A Short Skinny Airframe
    I used the search bar and didn't really find what i was looking for. I would assume many have figured out how to get a 6' 240lb person in a MK4. If anyone can help i may try to customize my plane to fit me. I know some say buy the correct plane but i can not afford 70k. I don't mind sticking $$$ in my avid as long as i don't get crazy upside down in is value. I want a light"ish" plane for local bouncing. My beginning in ultralights proved to me light weigh is the right weight. I posted it for sale so i could look for a bigger guy airframe, but i fear life may intervene and i may never reach the airport again. I do like a project and have a small but well equipped shop.

    I have found everything, Bill of sale ect.. I may offer it for sale when i get the paperwork back.  Kinda having sellers remorse.  The only reason I offered it for sale is im 6' 240lb. Now that im looking at it again the bug is biting. If i could figure out how fit comfortably in it I would keep it, a  Rans , Kitfox, or a Just expensive is just out of my reach.

    Avid MK4 For Sale.
    Selling my Avid Mk4 speed wing. This was a flying plane before going into storage at my house last year. It has a rebuilt 582, this was a complete LEAF build not a two stroke Sam overhaul. I have the paperwork to go with it. The plane had some wing tip damage that was repaired by the builder. Covering of this area could use some attention as it is not nearly as nice as the rest of the plane. With that said it has carried a AW inspection up till i bought it.  Comes with trailer, and lots of extra avid parts and rotax stuff. I will try to collect more info in the next few days. We are having pretty bad weather at the moment. When it gets above 20 deg i will go digging for the log book. Im in St.Louis area and want $14,000 cash

    Thanks for the detailed explanation of your experience. The plane does sound very capable.  Even though it may take off like a osprey i just wanted reassurance that it could (with the right skill and practice) Land in the same places the rans, highlanders,cubs, and kitfoxes are playing. If the plane is just better fit for a cross country than back country there is nothing wrong with that.

    Slow Magnum?
    I have read most of the Magnum section and don't recall seeing where anyone is sharing there stall speeds/ landing speeds. I passed on a Magnum several years ago because i could not find any information other than it took a lot of runway to stop. This was of course on a supercub site. I have read that everyone agrees they climb great but how do they land? There is one on barnstormers that got my attention but i don't want to kick tires if it wont live up to the L in STOL. Will a few magnum pilots please share there experiences landing the Magnum. Thanks

    There is a Avid MK4 Speed wing in my area for sale. The problem is im a low and slow kinda guy. Does anyone have STOL wings for sale? I think i read somewhere that Kitfox wings can be adapted also. I would prefer a flying set that don't need rebuilt or recovered but if the price is right i will listen. I thought about extending the original wings but i keep reading mixed reviews of the results.
