  1. Called GSC before sending them my blades & decided to re-install them from scratch. I had a tracking issue with one blade which I fixed by using shims inside the hub. Then I set the angle/pitch as accurately as I could (using a "level" app on my iPod) and the vibrations are all but gone. I was leaning on getting another Warp (same I had on my previous machine) but I'll hang onto the GSC for as long as I can. Only 300 hrs but built in '06 (9 yrs +). 3 blades.

  2. has anyone ever had vibration issues w/ a GSC propellor? I had a Warp Drive on a 912UL & it ran smooth. Got this GSC w/ the KF I bought (on a 912ULS) & am getting vibrations at various power settings.

    Carbs seem balanced, so I'm starting to suspect the prop. Am I off?

  3. that boot from TH Marine was useless. It was too inflexible and nowhere near water proof. I stumbled across a master cylinder rubber gasket (Canadian Tire part # 242077 - sorry lads south of the border) which I think will be perfect. I cut out the large "doughnut", punched a hole thru (not cut, but punched) & slipped it on the lip on the back of the float & on the water rudder shaft. Noosed it w/ lock wire. Snug fit & supple.

  4. just wondering if anyone knows where to get a new rubber grommet/boot for the water rudder linkage at the back of the floats. Aerocet doesn't have these & Whipline's are too big (need 2" outside diameter, approx). Has anyone replaced theirs with something else because they couldn't find one? Thnx for any info - much appreciated.

  5. Thnx LP, esp the T/O tips. I had heard that the 1450s were the way to go. The 1260s are "on loan" for a trial. They come with stiffener tubes but the rest of the hardware is up to me. One float is indeed warped when inflated so I'll have to see if I can straighten that out somehow. Much appreciated. CT.

  6. Hi all;
    I am in the process of gathering the hardware to put my KF Classic IV (w/ 912 ULS, GW 1232lbs) on FL 1260s (older generation floats). My only experience has been on Aerocet 1100 amphibs, which I liked but thought they were somewhat under-floated (1200lb KF).

    Anyone out there have much time on FLs, especially recent ones (with the step stiffener plates & sacs)? Any preference on the 1220s, 1260s or the 1450s for my size of machine? Any recommendations, yays or nays?

    I'd appreciate any feedback.
