Damn! Now we got a Federalsales tax?????? When did this happen??? I've never heard of a FEDERAL Sales tax. We got STATE sales tax in Oklahoma, but I didn't have any idea a Federal Sales Tax existed?

Fuel TankI only have one fuel tank in my Avid A model, and while I am getting ready to recover my wing I figured that now would be a good time to put in another one. I looked at the ones from wingtank in the suppliers section but that is meant to be put inside your old tank. I like the idea of the ethanol proof tanks since getting regular gas is hard around here and 100LL can be $5.00 plus a gallon at the small airports. I seem to remember someone had built a set of aluminum tanks, but I can not find them any ideas.

He was being funny... We have done 3 or 4 different radiator configs on this one, and have done the belly radiator and his 532 still wants to over heat.
Damnit Greg, what did you set the prop for max RPM. should be getting 6250 to 6300 on the ground. What were the EGTs at this prop setting? Sorry I missed your call last night, I was snoring by the time you called

Larry- I have a CD that came with the promo pkg from Stewarts a couple years ago, but I think the YouTube videos collectively actually do a better job showing the process. I hadn't found those and just watched 'em all, thanks.

Paying your sales taxTalked to a buddy yesterday who said he received a call from the Feds stating he didn't pay sales tax on his kit. They knew how much he paid from the bill of sale submitted for N number registration and had calculated the tax plus late penalty plus interest for several years. In the grandest of governmental gestures, the agent offered to remove the penalty if he agreed to immediately pay the tax and interest. And he's not the first fellow I've heard this from recently, seem to be a new IRS trend. Apparently, the Treasury has decided to go after the piddling amount of back tax from all the 'rich' folk who fly, in their futile effort to help cover the trillions in Gov't debt run up by Washington. Good luck with that, sheesh.

Friend Russ up the road here covered his Mk-IV with Stewarts this year and just finished spraying the UV coats in his garage 'paint booth' too. He said yesterday he's ready to tackle the color and it sure sounded like everything was working well for him. He's been real happy with the Stewarts system. I tried to find their booth last week for current pricing but vendors, etc were all changed around this year. Progress I guess...

Thanks for the measurements. I have 4 1/8" from the center line of the root hinge to the inside of the control horn arm. So, looks like I'll need to extend the control horn at least a inch plus the amount inside the fuselage to the control cable.
Been teaching myself to spray paint. I'm using what Wagner calls a conversion gun, it allows you to use a smaller compressor to get hvlp output. It seems to be working ok with the primer. I'll have to see what happens when I start spraying the color coats. I can see why shops charge so much for doing a paint job. Slow and tedious! Especially when you don't have a paint booth. The inside of my garage looks like a polyethylene palace.

A month long virus, eh? I thought you guys were supposed to be tough?! Maybe you all better stop using swamp water for the crawfish boils, lol.
So what are these 'control rods' you are talking about? I just posted the Avid+ pullsheets in case you don't have them, should make identifying and pinpointing the end location of all the parts a whole lot easier.

sex sells bud... does your kid go to public school? if so, you have no chance of shielding him from sex. I got 3 spawns of satan 21, 18 and 17. If they go to public schools or are let out of the house for any reason they will be corrupted.
But I do understand 100% what you are saying. I do agree that while I like to look at all the titts and ass I can, it does not mean I want to watch it with my kids on a family show. Hell half the cartoons these days are TWISTED. nothing like the road runner and shit like that I watched growing up

Where to buy Duracell MN1300 batteries?I installed an ELT and it says in the book to only use Duracell MN1300 batteries which are nothing more than the fancy D batteries. I googled it and amazon sells them but I dont' really want to pay shipping on something like that. I did a search on Walmart and Target websites with no luck. Anybody know offhand of a store like that where I could pick up 6 of these? Didn't realize that's what it took..that outta help move my CG back some.

Why has our society became so obsessed with sex?Last night we saw a show that was on fox at 8pm called Magics Greatest secrets revealed. I had remembered watching it when I was younger and our 10 year old is into Magic so we had him come downstairs so we could watch what we thought was a nice family show. It was not 5 minutes into the show that they were showing so much Tits and Ass on the "assistants" that I had to shut it off. Now not that I was complaining but why in the hell do they have to make a family show that is on at 8pm all about sex? It's no friggin wonder that 13 year old pregnant girls doesn't even seem odd anymore. Every commercial you see on TV has a half naked woman on it. Again not that I'm complaining but my kid that is gonna hit puberty soon doesn't need to see that non stop. Some of the crap I've caught him watching on Nickelodeon is pretty far out there too. Anyways.. curious what your thoughts were.

Actually that cleared it up...lost in translation I guess. But, we have two control rods that I incorrectly interpretted as being a part of the Mod. Hence the confusion. Somehow I missed in your previous messages that the cables attached directly to the flaperons with not control rod in between.
As to the manuals and getting you that information, I fell sick with a virus that knocked me out of work and any and all activity for a month. Not to bore you with my histrionics, but in the process and in the disconnect, I did forget about your request, which incidentally occured the day before I was laid low.
