Yes I have had some time to work on it.Most of our business is boats, we do automotive and race car stuff in winter but nobody has any money this year so looks like I wont have any excuses for not working on it.The rod running back from the throttle is for the rear throttle control, its actually one of my aluminum arrows was just going to use it to dummy up but works pretty good.May as well use them on my plane as I cant seem to hit an elk with them.

C5Engineer added a topic in Avidfoxflyers General Hangar
Sharing a hangar sucks sometimesMy hangar mate and I have gone rounds a few times in the past already. He is building a Cozy MKIII. He is in the very early stages and the fuse looks basically like a bathtub right now. He has told me multiple times not to even TOUCH any of his stuff in the hangar because stuff is lined up and curing ect...understandable..not like I'm going to go pull some piece off a jig and screw with it. Anyways while I was gone on my mission overseas he texts me to inform that he dropped his fuse on my elevator trying to flip it over and made a mark on my paint. I was a bit upset but it's just latex so an easy fix accidents happen. THEN he informed me that he took a can of rattle can and tried to fix it himself!! He got overspray all over my blue scallops on my horizontal and the paint was not even a close match. I think he was trying to hide it.
I'm still trying to fathom how I can't touch his junk but it's cool for him to spray rattle can all over my $4000 paint job. I'm looking for other arrangements at the moment. Guys who have $300+ extra money laying around to drop on their hangars every month are lucky.

Starting to really look like an airplane. Are you working on it frequently?

Never hurts to have the puss like your toys
What does the rod going back from the throttle control?
I like the looks of that prop, what is it and where to look for details?

I just watched the one I uploaded and realized I had put the wrong one up... I had a better ending on another movie and some transitions to it... I guess posting video at work while "multi-tasking" does not work to well for me

Dean is a family friend of mine. He is an amazing guy even now in his 70's. I can pass along numbers to him to contact you if you really have something you want to pick is brain about. He has asked me not to give out his number but I can pass yours along to him and he will most likely call you back.

and only by the grace of god have you made it thus far in your flying career... ole murphy is a bitch... he knocked me out of the air once with something I had no control over... just cause you crash and burn does not mean it was your fault. Mechanicals happen, and the wrong failure at the wrong time leads to you only being able to go along for the ride and enjoy the view through the windscreen right up to the moment of impact... ask me, I know!

No, they are the original Alum Kitfox tanks I picked up off
Barnstormers. The avid rib is a little thicker in front so
I added the false ribs on the tanks. I didn't rigid mount them
as it's said they crack if you do. I did buy them just to
add to the Catalina tho.
If you don't need the fuel, don't fillum.

rib hinge tails ailgned ready to glue
ribs glued and clanped
checking flaparon alignment and smoothness, perfect
I guess I'll need help figuring out how to mount this thing
also do you think 615 hp from a stroked 302 will be enough
Also I have the boat reattached after removing it for some more modifications
to the landing gear seal to the airframe-to-boat, a picture will follow.
