Leaky exhaust connections on 582

After I swapped to my Blue Head my exhaust never seemed to line up as good. I have a 90 degree piece that connects the exhaust manifold to the muffler piece. I've tried a few different spring set ups but I keep getting hot exhaust blowing out back towards my engine mount and engine. Anybody have any tricks to seal up those Rotax ball joints? I looked at replacing the elbow and just that little piece is $154 from CPS.

If you check with snowmobile catalogs or repair shops, the ball joints are available new you can just cut your old off and weld on new
