Tailwheel Spring

I've got the stock single spring on my plane. It's only a matter of time before I break it off I'm thinking. I know lots of have upgraded to a double spring set up. I could use some weight on my tail too. I tried calling Airdale but have not hear back yet. Anyone know where I can get a better set up?

I'm surprised you have been able to fly with the stock spring at all. The stock one I had bent on me the first time I loaded my plane on the trailer to bring it home. I bought a single "universal" spring from Aircrft Spruce and liked the softness of it but it eventially broke on me. I replaced it with the Airdale double spring which works well but is very stiff. I don't think it will ever break though. Id does put a lot of load on the tail structure. I had to repair and rebuild my lower longeron tubes at the spring attach channel a couple of years ago. While I was in there I reinforced the tail structure a little.
