I do understand the concern, but why fly a airplane that glides like a rock ? That's why I like my Bandit simple and lite. It should glide as good as anything in a engine out situation.

I'll bet that your Bandit gets off the ground almost as fast as a 912  - and glides a whole lot better!  EDMO

Any idea if the stall fences would benefit an Avid-Fox?  Danny has them on his cub along with extended wings and semi drooped tips but they were there when he bought the plane so he doesn't have a before and after reference for what they did.  The fence is located where the flaps end and aelerons start, so I always figured it had more to do with keeping that air flow separate over those.

The dimensions / positions of fences, above / below / in front of / on span / in relation to controls, etc., is just too complicated to guess at.  Either a wind tunnel analysis or actual flying reports are the only ways to draw conclusions about them for different wings.

OR, paint them Lime Green and act like they do something for STOL   ???   EDMO
