Series 7 Dual Pin Door Latch Kit Retrofit

Is it a direct replacement for the older original? The picture seem to show it in a horizontal position as compared to the standard vertical so I'm inclined to think it is not... I don't know.

My original doesnt hold well and I could use some input here. The door fits nice and flush, no gaps or anything, but the latch on the pilot side wants to "let go" in flight.

Yes..., I know I could just call them, but......
