PROP BOLT CIRCLE DIMENSIONS?

9 posts in this topic

Posted (edited)

Can anyone give me the center to center, bolt circle diameters for the 912 and 582?

I have also verified that the small Contental is 4 1/2 " bolt circle diameter - I think some Tomahawk 235? Lycomings also used this SAE-1 bolt pattern.

My SAE-2, Lycoming style, bolt circle is 4 3/4".  I know that there are SAE-3,4,5, etc. that are larger patterns or bolts.

Just trying to update my library.

Thanks,  EdMO

Sprecken Ze American, Larry?  Is that 4" or 4 1/4"?  No, I guess 75 sillymeters is about 3 inches?

I wonder what fits a 4 1/4" bolt circle, could that be for Jab or UL, or Something else?

There is a WD hub on ebay with that circle dimension, along with a smaller circle that is probably Rotax.

I don't need it - Just being nosey!

Thanks for the info - I asked a guy to measure a C-65 or O-200 flange and he came up with 4 1/2 center-to-center diameter for Continental, but maybe his yardstick was off a little.   We need more Franklins around!

I found a chart of sorts that is on the web.  Here's the link:  http://www.aviationbanter.com/showthread.php?t=2659

Hey, that's real nice - answered a couple of my questions about my flange.  I made a print of it for my files.

I still haven't figured out what takes a 4 1/4" diameter 6 bolt hub...Maybe its actually something in sillymeters?
