Nice ranch strip today

I put 2.2 on the Hobbs today and flew up to a Ranch strip I hadn't been to for a while. I also hit an off airport spot too that was 500 ft and one way. I'm working at getting back to where I was last spring before I went on my deployment.

 

Ever since I started my instrument rating a few weeks ago I been into that. I have never used this page on my GPS before but today I found myself practicing intercepting courselines.

Such a shame - that people have to live in such desolate, isolated places, and have to irrigate to keep the runway green!

Please give the owner my condolences and tell him that I have a 1/3 acre and house with public water, sewers, and trash pickup, and I can throw a rock and hit 6 other houses - and I might be willing to trade for all that turf - just move it closer to Missouri!

Great pictures Joey!  Growning up in AZ,  I'll always have a soft spot for the wide openness of the West.  We just dont have that here in GA.
