Here's a couple quick clips I shot with my phone at OSH this year showing Just Highlander STOL 912uls performance vs. Kitfox 1050 582 performance.

Worth an extra $50k? You make the call...

Pretty impressive performance to say the least.  

 

Is it worth $150k?

 

Not to me.

 

 

 

I thought it pretty funny the guy in the 582 powered Kitfox IV was taking off just as short and landing not much longer.  

(Talk about an ugly, mangy fox, though...   )

Actually, I sent Joey clips to put up of that KF doing T/O & landings with the Highlander so folks could see the difference (I'm no good at posting videos and I don't even recall my uTube log in LOL). Any way to make the iPhone video better quality???

 

P.S. Gotta love the mangy fox skin prop socks and contact shelf paper side stripe graphics tho...

The thing looked like a pile of road kill sitting there...  The owner wasn't any prettier either.  He was advertising for instruction given in that plane, too!!  Yikes!

Doug I'll post the other two vids when I get off work. Which version of IPhone do you have? Should be pretty clear. You may have a resolution setting changed or something.

Joey - I'm using a 4s phone and the 'New' iPad (3rd gen). Neither have any user video resolution input/output settings that I can find. Odd that video resolution is so low on these clips, other video I've taken was better. I sent direct from the phone and wonder if the clips were automatically down-rezzed when I text'd them to you? I'll send you one via email to see what happens. The ones here hurt my eyes!

Check out that Storch-type landing gear - looks good.

Bad thing is: 1.This modified Avid is just too costly for me!

2. I didn't see any folding wings?
