  1. Since the tank replaces several ribs and I think a drag tube, which would indicate to me that the tank is providing mechanical strength to the wing assembly. That would seem to indicate Hysol. Am I missing something?

I thought scratching the spar with sand paper was bad since it helps for a stress riser in the spar.

  2. I have an Avid MK IV that had the old tanks removed (mostly) and I need to put the new tanks in. I want to use a heat gun to remove the hysol that is still stuck to the spars. What is the appropriate temperature to use? I want to soften the Hysol but the ruin the temper of the spars.

    Best,

  3. Surprised you're having problems. I had an A6 I used in my cub (no electrical system) and flew across the country with it. I would recharge it at night and be good for the day.

  4. Has anyone flown a kitfox or an avid with a rotec 2800 radial? Seems like a lot of weight up front. I look forward to hearing.

  5. I saw Doc Bailey the dealer in Florida about a year ago. He ran the motor for me and the 4 stroke is nice an smooth. HP is 93 at 3100 rpm and an installed weight of 125 lbs. Just saw they reduced the price to $15,900.

  6. This is HH with Stol wings. Tanks are there for both wings. The guy I bought it from removed the original tanks to replace them with the newer tanks. There is a brush gear as sold by Brett. Also a tail wheel. There is no fwf components other than the cowling. It does have the 16" stretch. The wings have been on it, the tail will bolt right on. That's about it. covering material is there but the chemicals are pretty old.
