Towing AvidWhen towing a Avid on a open trailer Tail forward how high should the tail be off the deck of the trailer.
Or can I have the tail wheel on the deck.
The trip will be about 200 miles.

Is it worth buying a Avid BHere's my Question.
My wife wants her own plane and I saw one for sale for $7500 needing a overhaul.
That doesn't bother me as I would put a 582 in it as it has a 532.
Any Advice would help.

I believe the pitch is set at 12.5 degrees static to limit rpms at 6200

Over heating on Rotax 670I have been fighting a over heating problem on my 670 install.
New engine from Rotax Rick.
Everything from Rick is new or re-built.
Just had installed new thermostat.
Engine temp go's to 200 degrees at 6200 rps at climb out.
Have to idle back to 3500 to get the temp back to 180 degrees.
On the ground using a laser temp gun there seems to be a hot spot around the thermostat.
EGT doesn't go over 800 degrees.
If it was timing or jetting the egt's would be higher.
Timing is spot on according to the A-P mechanic.
I'm getting fed up with this install.
It looks like I'll have to buy $1100 radiators.
Rick has sent some pics of a large radiator that should work.
Not sure where it would be mounted.
Any advice would be a help.

I installed a 670 in my Avid mk-4 for this reason.

Posible Trade a Race Car or Hotrod for the right MK-4I'm just putting this out there.
I have a 74 Duster with a 512 ci engine,727 trans and a Dana 60 rearend.
Calvert racing suspension that works good on the street.
This is not a show car,but it has made me a bundle on the street.
It has all the safety equipment to go 10 flat.
The second car is a full on race car.
68 Dart Post that runs 9.60
It runs in the Super Pro class.
Was runner up at a Arm Drop live event as seen on Speed Chanel.
More pictures Google Womanator,it usually comes up the first coupe entry's.
The race car I would consider trading for a Mk-4 with a Rotax 912

I already have a MK-4 but my wife wants one now.

Hey now I had an elevator and joy stick in my out house on Big Lake Ak,For when I got fogged in or snowed in and couldn't fly.
It's like using a practice tree for Drag Racing.
I like being high in either sport.
Finally had to move to Long Lake when it go to crowded on Big Lake.
