  1. Hey EDMO, I will not use any killing bait/pesticide as they tend to kill our beautiful owls we enjoy very much.....Also when the rodends die and decompose it releases these raticides in our groundwater..

I found the mothballs to smell bad enough that the rodends just don't come close without doing any harm....

    I know I am a soft tree hugger....you got me uncovered:rolleyes:

The mice I poison die on my concrete floor.  No harm to any ground water. No owls in my hanger to eat the dead mice. I'm a tree hugger to. Save a tree and wipe your ass with a spotted owl.

  2. Remember Dean designed these airplanes to fly out of grass pastures and keep simple. They are not 747s. Like Leni said learn to fly the airplane and you will enjoy it. No need to try to make it something it will never be.

  3. Chris, I used the C-2210 to remove a eagle decal  on my Champ. It took the adhesive off with a little rubbing. It also took off the adhesive from some of my vgs after they fell off. Good for removing wax and oil residue and will not harm the polytone.

  4. Jim,

Ron was a good friend of mine also. He was my Avid go to guy. He helped quite a few guys build and fix their Avids.  I also flew his airplane. It was a nice flying plane. Over the years he started with the speed wing and 503. That combo didn't work at all. Next came the 532 which was a bad choice.  Finally he installed the 582, then came the extended speed wing. This combination made a real good airplane. He loved the 582. He always told me it was "bullet proof ".

He did know how to fly behind a 2 stroke. Sure miss him.

  5. We will be out Friday before the show. We can rope a area off for you if you want. I would bring shorts and light shirts along with pants long sleeve shirts and coats. Weather can be 100 degrees down to 50 degrees at night. Just depends on the weather pattern. Sunscreen for sure!

  6. The Bandits serial number ends with a E. The Bandit is a MK4, but without the fiberglass leading edge, fiberglass seat, no finished interior. In other words a stripped down version of the MK4. My Bandit still has the .083 wing spar and the 7/8" lift struts.

  7. Now there is enough snow to keep my Bandit at home. More snow coming tomorrow. Got to wash the dust off and installed my tailwheel ski. All I have to do is taxi down the road and fly out of my neighbors field across the road.

  8. Is there a remote outlet control I could put in my hanger outlet and turn it on with my phone to preheat my Champ while driving to the airport?

  9. Bandit, did you put the Champ on skis yet as well?  (I'm thinking you got one of those recently) JImChuk

No Jim I haven't bought skis for my Champ yet. Some day I would like to find a used set of Tric Air skis for it. Lots of 1500s out there, but it would be a pain using them at our airport.

  10. This is what I have.  Pretty simple. This is for nose up. Flaps for nose down.

  11. All kinds of engines running without oil pumps. I removed mine years ago. Unbolt the pump from the recoil and take the nylon gear off and you are good to go. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to premix fuel.  It was designed to work either way. Why then would one take a 582 and make it into a 670 ? Far more risks than premixing fuel I think, but then I am not a engineer.
