I took the advice of an FAA Examiner and bought an Avid Mark IV tri-gear to use in order to earn my Sport Pilot Certification. Renting an LSA here in the Great Falls, MT area has not been an option.

So far, I've logged 22 hours dual time in a Cessna 150 and another 22 hours in Jabirus, which are LSAs. I started this adventure in October 2006.

My Avid Mark IV (N214DW) is being repaired by Stace Schrader at Rocky Mountain Wings, LLC in Nampa, Id. I expect to be airborne in the spring. I'm currently working full time in order to fund the repairs. The plane was exposed to the elements too long so I am confident it will be safe and airworthy when the project is completed.
