About Me

I'm a christian with conservative values, and a retired auto technician with experience with German and Japanese vehicles.I also have experience doing basic machine work and welding.

I've had a renewed interest in aviation after being away for about 25 years - Life and higher priorities and responsibilities got in the way for a while...

I have an old Pioneer FlightStar ultralight that's been packed away for years and I was thinking about getting it going again, but with our cooler weather here in Southeast Alaska I really would like something with an enclosed cockpit and cabin heat, and while wandering around online I found the plans for the Raven, the Kitfox 1 copy, and while I'm not interested in building the Raven, I would like to build a single place N3Pup/J3 Kitten type plane with the early Avid and Kitfox type wing. I've had the Preceptor Pup plans stashed away for almost 30 years. I'm just in the plotting and scheming stage now so it's yet to be seen if this thing ever happens, but that's how I ended up at AFF. Seems like a friendly helpful bunch of folks.
