Chuck
could you take a pic so that I can do what you said
"Probably be a good time to replace the diagonal cross tube with the newer design as well. Gives equal headroom for both sides. You can kind of see the newer style cross brace in these pics. "
thanks for all the help.

Avid A: Plans for the fuselage, particularly the CageI'm a new member on the forum.
I'm requesting to get a copy of the fuselage plans from anyone that has them.
I recently bought a avid flyer A and while backing up hit the
pilot wing (while in the transport position) push it forward. The result was the
cage cross member broke, and also the cage front member (where the front main
spar attaches broke.
I live in the Boston MA area, any assistance would be appreciated.
If someone is familiar with tubing repair, I'd be willing to travel for
help to fix it - of course I'm willing to pay. Just remember I'm on a shoe
string budget.

Seems like I'm going to have to go that route.

question,
Would anyone have the plans for the fuselage (cage section) so that I can repair my avid flyer.

Vance,
Would you be willing to part with your Mark IV spare fuselage. Mine got damaged when I was backing up
hit the left wing, pushed it forward and cause the cage members to brake in several places.
Then if you could help me repair it I'd also be grateful.
