That looks great Jim. Ive had the top pic saved along time on my phone. Lol. Unfortunately my planes all covered and complete so im guessing epoxy is the way to go, with that im wonderingbwhich materials would bond best.

So got all the templates cut for some epoxy in gussets in the fuselage below the doors what materials are people having luck with holding up? Aluminum, chromoly, sheet metal, plywood? And what epoxy seems to work best? Planes a mk4 with airdale backcountry gear. Thanks guys!

If one was handy with paint and maybe fabric. The fuse had some rust and flaking places as well. But worth the price imo. 88hrs on the ticker i believe.

I did purchase this plane in February this spring and wasnt able to pick it up until May. Upon arrival the enclosed trailer that was included AT THE TIME. Was not road worthy at all, let alone a trip to AK. So it didnt work out and time constraints(long story) we made our way home with our tails tucked between our legs. Lol. Lesson learned i guess. Hindsight IF WE HAD TIME. We woulda shopped around for a suitable trailer, price haggled with the owner over the derelict trailer, pulled the plane outta the other trailer put it together, got it wrapped up and been on our way.

Nice, Randy. I dont even want to ask what improvement the t3 made. Lol. Well too late already ordered the 3 piece that bolts together 8". Im handy with a welder, is the weak spot obvious?? The t3 would probably make the "weak" spot of the fork magically disappear with some extra cushion too.

So if your planning on strictly all off airport and off runway (bush) landings would the 11" dual fork be worth it on an Avid mk4?? Or overkill? Im planning on the 21" aero classics for mains on the grove gear. Anyone made their own bush version tw assembly??

So it looks like T88 epoxy is the choice for curing in colder climates. Now ideas for material? Plywood thickness? 1/8th? Or 1/16 aluminum? Suggestions?
