  1. Does anybody here know someone who has put a Ridge runner II on floats? This thing is basically a single place plane. Has a 503 and is pretty light. Seems like it would be a fantastic candidate for floats. Can anyone point me to someone who has done this? I am going on vacation and can read but not reply from my laptop so it might be a week before I can answer this post, but I will be reading :-)

    Thanks!

forgot to mention, I put a Skyraider what I would call at one and a half on floats if you’re interested

  2. This is a great idea that most people miss, I had a starter solenoid lock in engage and on way to disengage, burned off the starter!

  3. Send me a private message and I’ll give you Mccans phone number

  4. I just talked to Jim Raeder who worked with Dean for many many years and he advises putting the spar Stiffener inside we’re the strut meets the spar, they found on the Magnum that it needed it!!!!

  5. Dean brought the plane to Osh,think it was 86, in the back of a 2seat, Toyota tundra!! The thing that caught my eye was he had a stainless steel propeller no bigger than my LAZAIR,s

  6. Hi, used to be in the garage door trade, and I see in one of your pictures a garage door with extension springs, I can’t tell but those springs should have a cable from the wall to the hanger at the rear of the tracks to restrain a spring if it breaks

  8. I used the search bar and didn't really find what i was looking for. I would assume many have figured out how to get a 6' 240lb person in a MK4. If anyone can help i may try to customize my plane to fit me. I know some say buy the correct plane but i can not afford 70k. I don't mind sticking $$$ in my avid as long as i don't get crazy upside down in is value. I want a light"ish" plane for local bouncing. My beginning in ultralights proved to me light weigh is the right weight. I posted it for sale so i could look for a bigger guy airframe, but i fear life may intervene and i may never reach the airport again. I do like a project and have a small but well equipped
