Hello,
i am currently finishing my Magnum build. If it weighs in anything close to 1000 pounds I will be happy. I have the published weights from the factory if you want them. I am also using the O320 and I believe TBO is 2000 hours, but if checks good by A&P, keep flying.
Good luck!

Thanks!
I hope to have it airborne soon. Lot of details to finish with panel and engine baffles etc as you well know.

The spinner is what came with the Magnum kit. Just a fiberglass cone, needs to be assembled. Let me know if you still want a picture.

Barry,
I knocked down the weeds on the strip yesterday and started with the blade to clean it up. Should be useable in a few weeks. Your welcome anytime!
C5,
What is Ron's screen name? I will have to look him up.
C5, Thanks, but it will be late this fall at the earliest before I make first flight. Got to rebuild my engine and install the panel yet. Thanks for the future use of your strip, looking forward to it. Be sure to send my your GPS coordinates sometime.
Thanks

Status update: Got the door latches, window latches, window hangers and windshield installed. Put down some matt black vinyl on the dash too to help with glare. Will be working on panel, flaps and turtle deck while I wait on my engine parts to get checked out. I just hit the 600 hour mark, so if anyone wonders how long it takes.. Still a ways to go...............

Laurent,
I think these are 5 gallon each. Fiberglass construction. I have read various opinions on ethanol use, and I think general opinion is no. They are very lightweight and I have no idea about the Catalina. These are designed to be epoxied between front and rear spars on the magnum wing. Let me know if you want measurements.
