Project wanted in NW U.S. in For Sale and wanted, you got it, I want it Posted 18 Feb 2012 · Edited 18 Feb 2012 by falcon Any one in N.W. U.S have a good tail dragger project for sale? Roy I have an Avid Flyer project for sale in Portland, Oregon for $4,800. Everything FWB is included except for covering. It includes a VW with PSRU, but no engine mount or propeller. The airplane has been flown, has an A/W certificate and had registration numbers. The person completing this airplane could use the existing A/W certificate. If the DAR will agree, new A/W and repairman certificates could be issued and then the new owner could perform their own annual condition inspections. I am the third owner of the airplane. Airplane includes hydraulic brakes and strobes Instrumentation includes: Radio, transponder, air speed, altimeter, slip ball, tach, water temperature, EGT, voltmeter, hobbs meter, ELT To my knowledge this is the situation regarding the airplane: The original owner used a Rotax 582 The second owner did the following: Stripped the plane for recovering Bought a new wing and landing gear Built the replacement wing Modified the stabilizer and elevators to be the same as a MK4 Removed the model B offset from the vertical fin Bought a MK4 rudder Bought a model C engine cowl Built an engine mount for a Jabiru 2200 Serial number 352 Manual calls it a model B The original wing is a model B with a gas tank The wing struts are model B The fuselage is a model C The new wing is a model C with a gas tank The tail feathers are MK4 Model B and model C engine cowls VW engine 1775 cc (90.5 mm bore x 69 mm stroke) Single ignition, distributor Electric starter Diehl back case and alternator 1.74:1 belt PSRU Pictures available at www.falcondesign.com/avid Bruce 503dash848dash2228 bruceatfalcondesigndotcom
