  5. I do like the sportcruiser but I know I can get £50,000 for it, the kf7 kit I can get for £14,000 and I think that is a good deal but I can't keep them both even tho I don't have to sell the sportcruiser to free up the money it's the space :( . I'm very lucky that Mr friends are LAA inspectors and engineers so I only have to pay for parts and I help them do the works and then it gets signed off.

  6. It's a hard one as I do like my sportcruiser but as you are aware I have the avid to so I won't be without an aircraft. The thing is l want a tail wheel aircraft and I like the look of the kitfox and I could keep both in the hanger instead of one at two different airfields. I Like building and have built several aircraft.

  7. Hi guys

A friend of mine has decided to put his kitfox 7 up forsale and it's still in kit form with very little work done on it, it comes with everything apart from the 912 injected engine and fabric. Do you think I should by it cause if i do then i will have to sell my sportcruiser so the question is kitfox 7 or sportcruiser.

    Thanks

    Richard

  8. Richard I think your airplane is just great.  I heard about the BMW conversions several years ago.  I think there is even a commercial supplier.  As I recall some of the first were in powered gliders and they were priced in about the same range as the Rotax engines and are just a smidge heavier.  Parts are sure as heck cheaper.

A nice looking bird all around.

Thank you very much and it has taken a long time to do the conversion and many bespoke parts have been made along the way. I would like to turn it into a tail wheel and change the colour so no doubt I will have to re-skin it then to keep the weights down so she will be out of action for a while when I start that and I will put a new panel in her to finish off.

    Thank

  15. Hi knuckle draggeer

Sorry to hear about your accident and I hope your doing well. I had my 582 fail on me on take off on my first solo and it didn't go to well with me going through trees and ripping both wings off and ended upside down :( was a little battered and bruised but thought I'd give the avid another go but could only get a nose wheel so now need to make it a tail dragger again. I'm in the uk so will need to know the shipping charges as well as the cost of the legs and axles ?

    Thanks
