We are leaving from Sandpoint the 19th or 20th in a 170 that cruises around 115

Doug
Vance said you were setting aside a spot for him with the group. Would you be able to set aside another spot for us? We are leaving Idaho on the 19th or 20th weather dependent of course. We are going to park in vintage aircraft camping near the UL field.
Got my ticket today. Whoo hoo
Thanks

Thanks for the map. That is just what I was looking for. Is the ultralight runway where the stol exhibition will be?
Larry where are you planning on setting up camp?
thanks again

Gunderson Thanks
That is great information. Is the light sport area where most of our group is camping?
i am not having any luck finding a good map on the EAA site or elsewhere.

Well that is good to know
Thanks very much

I read the link on BCP it talks about Hercoliner but not what kind of glue or cleaner was used. You think MEK would be adequate?
-
Thanks Ed
I wasn’t able to find anything close maybe someone else will have better luck.

I sent Trent a message on Instagram see what he has to say
i had no luck finding Randy’s post

According to the EAA in the ultralight area
- “Should not be a type certificated Vintage aircraft such as a Cub, Champ, etc.”
so us taking a vintage 1948 170 doesn’t sound feasible Is there any camping somewhat near there? We are planning on getting there early
-
Can we put a 170 in with you guys or will they frown on that?
-
What is Trent using and has his results been any better than yours?
Fred I watched the video and I only heard he sent them to a place in Idaho. Which is good if it works because I live in Idaho
I will search for Randy’s write up
thanks

I am in this year as well. Going with my neighbor in his 170. Planning on staying for the week and camping if someone could save us a spot that would be great!

Lot of hassle and fuel burn to make 65hp

I still haven’t put the tall gear on I need to weld up the top part of the cabane. Life is too busy hope to get it on in the spring.

Nah just finish it there and fly it home
that thing about the last 10% being 90% is blown way out of proportion
I had one of those in Florida I worked on for 2 years and never did get to fly it
