  1. image.thumb.jpeg.63bf08aa6d59c49fa298ff3Can you boys list the top 3 software and auxiliary hardware options for an iPad integrated panel.

Here's what my new to me dash looks like, I have a couple holes to fill.  An iPad is the solution that I'd want to go to. I want a quality radio that will support the existing wiring, com block and existing squelch and volume  knobs if possible.

  2. What pieces and arts made the Bandit alight weight MKIV besides the 503?  I think the 582 was a more popular option from what Ive seen on the used market.

  3. Leaderbrands is the plane with silver with Green graphics that is in the videos and at Oshkosh I presume.

Kitfox responded to my FB question of Stall speed.  31-32 MPH with 29" Alaskan Bush tires. The bush tires hurt The stall speed a little due to weight is my guess. 31 MPH is honorable if it's repeatable.

  4. If I recall gross weight is 911# on a MkIV with speed wing while doing aerobatics, and 1050# without aerobatic maneuvers.   At 1034# your flying around fully loaded, unless I read something wrong, which is often the case.

  5. 1) Would you suggest the yellow Tygon 4040 be an anual replacement as well?

    2) Im replacing ALL of my uel lines, how many feet do I need.

    3) Did you shop it out? Do mind sharing an Internet link to the cheapest supplier if you have it handy.  It'd help us lazy folks out.

  6. Did the new radiators help?

Did you check to see that your not over proping the 670?

My 670 is Being built and I really hope I don't have over heating issues. Im buying the exhaust parts and cones from Mike, the guy who builds the exhausts for Rotax Rick, and I will be assembling and welding them up myself. This will keep the "tune" that Mike and Rick have worked so hard to produceon the dyno and have thw 670 jetted for , while giving me a couple inches either way to get her fit into the MKIV Cowel... Wish me luck.

  7. Should I be looking to add an additional header tank if this original spare tube fuel header is in place?  Whats the main goal of larger header tanks, more fuel or more reliable fuel flow or....?

The installation of my spar header tank by the previous owner is really nice and I'd hate to change anything up if I dont need to.

  8. I see your PDF drawing of the weld that tends to fail.  A picture of that location would clarify things a ton. Could I bother you for a picture with a finger pointing to the trouble location.

  9. If you are just looking for STOL and don't care about going fast, the longer Kitfox 1,2,3 wings will do even better - the excessive washout on the early wings will give you better low-speed control with less chance of stalling.  You would have to probably modify your Avid struts to fit some of the Kitfox wings, or modify their struts to fit your Avid fuselage, as they have a different fitting there.

I haven't looked at your location, but if you want to haul a set of Kitfox wings, flaperons and struts for a Kitfox 3 from St. Louis, then I have them.

    EDMO

    Im in San Diego.

Are they finished with good ethinol safe fuel tanks?

  10. This thread killed my hopes of extending my speed wings on my MkIV

If I wanted the ultimate STOL capabilities would I be looking at the later Kitfox ribs or more of a Just Aircraft Super STOL set up which is probably untested on the Avid MKIV fuselage, in which case, I dont have the capability to make happen

It sounds like I need a second airplane already..... Or a spare set of HH wings. Im guessing it's more of a hassle than its worth to swap wings back and forth than its really worth.

  11. My new ride was born in 1994, so the the radio that was here is from that era. Id like to rplace it with the same unit as the wiring antenna and harness is all there.  The head unit(s) were missing.

A link to an ebay item would be amazingly helpful. Im guessing they're stupid cheap 20 years later?
