  2. I've been hangered out of there for about 15years . I have the blue avid mkIV always flying around. I was just out there this morning. I'm pretty much right near the restrooms and can see the rich guys hanger from mine . He actually did a little belly landing a couple weeks ago .

  3. The fiberglass electric trim cover I made a mold for amd my faired struts using aircraft spruce trailing edge material and powder coated purple. Most of my little stuff is powder coated purple . When I paint the plane it'll all male sense. That's the nice thing about having a big powder coat oven at home . Not much I can't do .

  4. Well after a year of trial and error , blood ,sweat and tears I'm test flying. I faired all the jury struts and powder coated them. Installed a electric trim system along with that I made a mold to produce them whenever. The main thing was going to the radial style nose . Took some trial and error but it's on . I still have to put my door locks in and my electric fuel gauge but I wanna just fly now.

  5. I'd still add one more degree of pitch since 6700 wot is close to redline .

  6. I have a sigtronics 2 place intercom so I don't have separate jacks . I just plug into it and at that's where they stay . I found I like it better on the floor against the seat support on the passenger side . The wires just come up and done . Plus for the price I got the headset and intercom for I can't complain , it's also nice having the 3.5mm jack to plug in to . It ended up being clearer then my old icom intercom ?

  7. What I do is just pitch to get 6100-6200 on climb with my 582. That way I get great overall performance. My temps stay good and I get the best of both worlds. I was hoping to fly today and shoot some video of my dash during climb and cruise buuut my wife and I had our anniversary party / Halloween party last night and I'm way to tired to go out. Can't complain I've been with my wife for 11 years married 9 and have to of the best daughters you could ask for . Hopefully I'll go up this week and get some video of my dash during take off and cruise .

  8. Mines on the floor tucked under the passenger as close to the middle as possible. I figure the wires coming almost directly up keeps them free and clear of everything. I had it in the back but got sick of reaching back to turn it on .

  9. Where the second support tube is equals around 3 gallons in my tank. If it's ever that low it's time for fuel . I do have mine all marked on the fiberglass in increments of 3 gallons .

  10. Wow that sucks . My tank was not covered at the end of it social it makes seeing a little better. I have a strip on top without fabric and epoxy over it but I believe it could be bigger . For now the leds are making it a little easier to see .

  11. I like visiting snow but now all the metal in my body from way to many surgeries doesn't help. I had a couple plates and about 20 or so screws added to the list 3 years ago . I was at my brothers last year when the big snow storm came through and dropped the temps to the high teens. Wow my arm was killing me and I swear I could feel the metal freezing haha.

  12. I used a super bright white for mine . It's not the greatest solution but it helps enough to where I can see my fuel slosh around. All I know is when I can't see the fuel from my seat I'm at 3 gallons left. I posted pictures somewhere on here but hell if I know where they are .
