    I like more cruise speed . I have the regular wing tips but I'm always looking for mods to add less drag . I still haven't done any of the gap seals yet bit that's coming as soon as I paint it .

    Mine before the radial cowl and after. Along with my old Loehle . I miss that plane but like I've said many times I'm very happy to be flying a Avid and getting to know this crazy rag tag bunch of guys on the forum. Now if only you guys lived closer .

    exactly that's why it's called experimental aircraft. I couldn't imagine all the bs I would have to go through with a ap while doing the nose mod alone on my plane .

    I did vg's on my dad's plane and never was asked about them ever. I'm with edmo don't mention them and it shouldn't be a big deal .All we did was a logbook entry that we installed them and that's it . Most A&P mechanics know very little about experimental airplanes so he might not even care . They aren't a structural part or repair so I wouldn't worry.

    When I got to fly my mkIV last time in January I was seeing around 116mph indicated and gps was 113mph. No windshield push or anything . I run a 582 with 3 blade warp drive tapered tip. I also have the true speedwing .

    Depending on how hot and humid really . It's usually just drying faster that's about it. I have to paint often so I'm used to painting in the heat .

    I got mine as a flying project . It's ugly but it flies . Someone who owned it painted it with a brush and house paint at some point. Now with the new nose it definitely needs paint

    Can you measure the windshield from side to side across the bottom ? I need to work on mine but it's a hour away and want to make the part before I got to the airport.

    Definitely true. I always put my family first even before the accident but after I won't miss anything they do for nothing . My oldest had her first cheerleading competition. I was supposed to work and the boss wasn't having it . I basically told him deal with me not working that Saturday or deal with me not working for him at all . Needless to say he saw it my way .

    I also have sonerai ll plans and hope to start on it one day . I first saw one when I was a kid and have been hooked ever since . I wanna get another formula V race type league going again for these planes . I am friends with a guy that raced in it and love hearing the stories.

    Could not have said it any better myself . I am 37 but put together with metal , screws and various other things from my bike riding career already. I had a car accident 3 years ago and woke up in CICU . I had about 50 staples in all holding each side of my head together and my forearm was broken in half . On the helicopter ride over I had to be jump started a couple times . I woke up about 6 hours after the accident to the surprise of the Doctors and nurses . They weren't sure if I was going to wake up . Now I try and spend every minute with my wife and 2 daughters that I can . My wife always says how there were plenty of times while I was in the hospital that she wouldn't know what to do if I didn't make it . I'm sure there are plenty of people worse off then me but that's my little story .

    Someone with a Cirrusly bad complex. Hahahaaa I made a funny . I can't even get myself to buy a watch . My wife got me one of those military dna watches with P-51 metal in it for our anniversary last year. That was about $100.00 and my absolute max for a watch .

    I just measured my stock nose gear and plan on making that kind at first then a caster type . I still want that pulsar
