I hate it when anything like that happens. What I wouldn't give to have all that stuff . I wish he would sell it I would be very interested.

I had zero cooling issues with my cheek radiators. Only reason I changed to aluminum was they wouldn't fit in the new nose . My radiator is what 912 uses.

Well since I got rid of that gallon oil injection tank and the heavy steel cheek radiators I have a few pounds to spare . My hoses aren't any longer then what was in there with the cheek radiators and my radiator now is aluminum.

I have a few hundred hours in planes with flaps and without flaps . With my Avid I doubt I will ever need them . I can drop it where I want and take off is so short I have to hold it on the ground . There are tons of experimental airplanes without flaps and I've flown a few . Everyone has there way of doing things and to each his own . In my avid I don't see any use for me personally to need flaps . I have a YouTube video spot landing directly on my bullseye no flaps just a little slipping .

I have no problem getting off the ground and control my landing speeds with my trim and stick. I also have the luxury of flying out of a 5500ft paved runway .

Flaps .... We don't need know stinking flaps just a little slipping is all you need . I actually have tried using my flaps but they do move back to position. I might try the leather or fabric trick just in case I really need them.

It was for something else and I made it into what it is now . I had to cut and close a couple ports relocate another and added a return to the water pump. I am mounting it on my firewall . I can make one for anyone that wants one if there was ever a need .

My mkIV has the speed wing and I have video solo take off and with passengers. The plane takes a couple hundred feet and I'm off the ground. What is the prop pitch at size etc ? I have a warp drive 3 blade taper tip and it climbs fast and cruises unbelievably.

You need a expansion tank like I made instead of that set up. Mine holds extra coolant with all the ports needed for a 582

That's what mine was supposed to be when I got it . It did run and had a annual but I still took a couple months doing repairs and changing things a little.

  12. chopndrag added a post in a topic Is this the one? So many doubts.

Seems to be a good price . I've had 4 stroke and 2 smoke powered planes and don't mind flying with either. They both have there pros and cons . My avid has a 582 gh and I love it . Yes I would like more power but it is what it is . I'm getting ready to build a sonerai II so I can get my speed fix.

I would love to get all the drawings myself . I have the ability to make the parts but without drawings it's a guessing game.

My dad's buddy used those on his excalibur . They are strut mounted fuel tanks . When he went on x country he would put them on. I'd be interested in a set of those more then the wing tanks I have for sale .

That's awesome, I have 2 young daughters myself and we're always going on adventures treasure hunting. Haven't really found anything cool yet but the time spent is well worth it . I have a gold plate machine and have made them pirate treasure just gold plating coins . Going out for real gold would be awesome .

My brother sent me a picture of his front yard years ago. There was a perfect half circle made by deer eating all night. Whenever I go up we usually see some big bucks running around more then anything else. He's on 20 acres of land right near Low Country airport .
