If you get the blue dot rotax tach it's pretty much on point . It matched almost exact to my tiny tach . I noticed way better cruise and landing wasn't like the ground was coming at 1000ft a minute anymore .

Why all the work instead of running the 582 ? All the added weight and not much in performance gain that I know of .

Haha I think I've been up to 2000ft maybe with mine ? I normally just cruise around at 1200 ft .

That I couldn't tell you . I can tell you the knock off tiny tach works great.

I had one off by 800 rpm at cruise and 600rpm at idle . I bought a tiny tach knock off and ended up buying a new rotax dash tach . They both read the same now .

Rivets would be your best bet . That way they can't shift or fall off .

The only news out about the power is how Duke is far behind and sending out power bill estimates. Not a good thing for them to do morally and business wise.

Will do I'm going out this weekend I'll take it off and send it out . I only used velcro to attach it to my panel . I think it only needed 3 or 4 wraps around my plug wire .

I know a degree can make a huge difference. Mine was pitched for climb and almost over revving on take off . I pitched for cruise with a warp drive 3 blade tapered tip and I'm at 16.5 and it works for me . Another thing is to get a tiny tach and check it against your panel tach. I had a tach in my panel off by almost 800rpm in cruise. I got a tiny tach and it showed the difference . I got a new gauge and it reads exactly as my tiny tach . I keep saying tiny tach but it was actually a cheap ebay knock off but it works great. I'm actually going to do away with it now that my new tach is in and reading right . I can send it to you if you if you want with those lights to give it a try.

Washing your airplane ? I'm afraid to wash mine and have the dirt holding it together fall off and then no more plane haha . I'm one of those guys that goes to a motorcycle show without washing his bike because it's a daily driver and then try to figure out how I'm going to get the big ass trophy I won home , oh well I guess once a year couldn't hurt to clean my plane .

Depends on what kind of sign off you are talking about . If it's just a annual you put in what you did and have the a&p look everything over and he will do the rest .

Same exact thing I do . If it's something like fuel lines , gauges and what not I put it in both logs just because the parts are sometimes inside both areas. I try to make my books transparent as possible just in case I sell it to someone not so mechanically savvy .

That's how it is around here too . The stores are still empty and you have to be on tour A game to get gas . We haven't even thought about take out or any fast food . We still have plenty to eat at home from stocking up . During the storm my neighbor and I were bartering for supplies . If he had something extra I could use more of or he needed we traded out . Gotta love the barter system instead of dealing with the stores . Hell before the storm hit we wanted to cut both our lawns . His guy was unable to come and I mow my own . He jumped on the mower and I fired up the weed eater and about 35 minutes later we knocked out both lawns . All he had to do was supply gas hahaa.

THANK GOD OUR CABLE AND INTERNET JUST CAME ON !!!!!   My daughters love to play and be outside but in the evening we all have shows we watch as a family . The last few days have been my daughters watching Trolls , Secret life of pets and other kids movies.  I now can answer any question about those movies possible. I'm pretty sure by having that stuff embedded in my brain it has made me lose useful information. It definitely could've been worse so I'm very lucky . Hopefully work starts up soon because the wallet is definitely hurting from having to take basically a week off to get ready and buying tons of supplies and this week there's still very limited places open .

I'm pretty sure they are considering where the hunt area is . They have the gulf and springs right near where the hunt was . Hell if I remember right Ted Nuggent even came down for it . They haven't announced anything yet or maybe they did and we all missed it because of the hurricane . I actually just looked it up and there's no hunt this year . It was supposed to last a week in 2016 but was only 2 days . 289 bears in 2 days daaamn.

I've often thought about floats because of all the water around. But the thought of one little oops and your nosed over in the water always deters me. Maybe one day I'll sack up and get them they do look fun.

My loehle came without paperwork. I just did the paperwork as built from parts. The faa had no problem registering it as experimental.

It's never been in the air and no paperwork means you can make your own up. If you contact a darr that's bringing in more paperwork then needed.

Very lucky , I spent the day today cleaning up my yard and taking everything out so I can try and get back to work . From what I heard the area around the airport is in bad shape so I figure I'll give it another day before I try and go out . We're having the same gas problems as before the storm too so that's not helping and the banks aren't open yet. My wife went out shopping and said one walmart around us was open and the shelves were bare again. Hopefully everything gets back to what we call normal again soon .
