I found this in the box of the project model 1 I’ve got which may or may not have all parts as I go through this . I have quite a few engine parts for a 503

It looks a lot more like a tool rather than a part.Kinda looks like it holds something open by the arrangement of the pivot...

I was thinking maybe a spring holder
