Greetings,

Interested in the float connection and how well it worked?

Thanks,

It was built by a George Casper who lived close to me in northern Mn.  I do know he flew it some and ended up selling it to someone else.  Looks like the let the registration lapse.  If those are the fiberglass Avid factory floats, from what I've heard, they worked fairly good.  JImChuk

Thanks Jim, they look like aluminum very similar to the Zenair float, I have seen the fiberglass Avid type on an Avid C here in my area, looking at the way they used the conventional wheel gear for attachment seems like a good idea.

Ya, looking at it again, those don't look like the Avid floats.  Not sure where you are located, but I know of a set of Avid floats in north central Florida that were for sale.   JImChuk

I'm the guy that picked up the Kitfox 2 parts from your place, the guy that scratch built the Avid :) I'm going to rework the floats I have and turn them into amphibs. Like the idea of leaving the landing gear on the plane to connect the floats.
